BASIC USAGE - How to Manage and Print Summer
Rec Cards
Purpose
To use the designated summer rec laptop to capture pictures, input information,
and print ID cards.
Procedure
The laptop and printer are on a cart labeled for summer rec.
First log into the laptop using the following account:

And the password:
srec
Make sure the printer is plugged into the laptop via a printer cable.

Make sure the webcam is plugged into the laptop.
After you have logged into the laptop look for the ID works Std. Production
shortcut:
After you double click it you will be asked to log in.
Use the account:
Admin
Use the password:

Now it will ask you to open a project:
Now select the most current template (2017 Rec Program):
Now it will open the template. Feel free to move things around on the screen.

When a student gives you their paper go to find first and try to find them by first
and last name:

If you find them update their information and take a new picture.
If you cannot find them you will need to add them to the system:
Then use the information provided to fill in the fields.
To take a picture:
To take a picture you will need to first select your photo source.
Go to Capture – Select Capture Source:

Select Video for Windows:

Now select Acquire Photo:
Highlight “Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32)
Press Ok:

Now capture your image by pressing “take photo”:
Click OK if you want to keep the picture or retry to take picture again:

Adjust photo as necessary. What is visible inside the dotted box is the picture you
will get:
When finished with picture and information press save!

To print the card. Go to File - Print Card:

Select the XPS Card Printer:
If you have issues with the ID printer itself you will have to open the top and
diagnose from there. If it needs to new ink be sure to put it in the same way it
came out. If a card gets stuck you will need to use the wheels to manually force it
out.
No card pick up – Manually pull card out or take out majority of cards.
