Principle of Socialization

1.

2.

What is Socialization?A term use to refer to the lifelong

process of inheriting norms, customs, and ideologies that gives an individual with the skills and habits necessary for participating within his or her own society.

What will happen if you were left behind?

Principles of SocializationLearning ushers the individual to the prevailing culture of his environment. It promotes the acquisition of habits, attitudes, knowledge and skills necessary for the smooth integration of the individual into the larger society.

According to Essentialism, the school must be structured as a miniature society where students learn the basics of living effectively in one’s own milieu. Therefore the content, the technology, used in teaching and learning, methods and strategies should be relevant to the development of the basic skills necessary for the socialization of the individual.

One pedagogical approach relevant to the use of technology to promote social skills is cooperative learning.

Principle of UnderstandingOne cannot learn anything unless

he/she comprehends the situation, the process, the concept, the philosophy and the meaning of the learning task or tasks.

Understanding is seeing relationship, the differences and or similarities of events and processes and how they affect his life as a student.

Principle of Cooperative ProcessLearning is more impressive if the

students or the pupils share in planning and organizing the learning activities with the guidance of the teacher.

Under the cooperative learning process the pupils share in searching and reporting findings in answer to specific learning problems.
