BRIEF:RNAV/RNPGoodfurtherdiscussionontheRNAVRNPrequirements,NotethatthereisarequirementtoreviewtheSuppProcedurebeforeJlyinganapproachanditisagoodtooltousejustpriorto,orduringapproachbriefasithighlightstwotasksnotcoveredintheQRHpre-approachnotesintheOPSINFOsection.Namely;tochecktheFMCGPangleiswithin0.01degreeofthechartedvalue,andtherequirementtocheckthealtimeterreadingacrosstheFFiswithin100ftofthechartedvalue.NoteintheeventofaMAPallspeedlimitsapplysohaveathinkaboutthemanagementoftheA/Catvariousstagesaroundarrival.AlsoitisveryimportantthatyouconJirmLNAVre-engagement(50ftifmanuallyJlown,200ftwithAP),duetotheRNPwhichonmostapproachesappearstobe0.3totheJirstturnthen1.0.ItmaybenecessarytorequestvectorsifunabletocomplywiththeRNP.Agoodideatostatewhatyouexpecttoseewhenattheminima,andalso,whatactionsarerequiredi.e.areyougoingtoleaveAPinuntil200ftorJlymanually,FD’sremainon.UnlikeLVOapproacheswhereweplanontheworstcaseminimumsforRNPARwheremultipleRNP’sareofferedwechoosetheonewhichwillallowdescentbelowthecloudbaseandwithinthevisrequirements,nottheRNPwiththelowestDA.IbelievethereasonbeingthereisawidertoleranceintheRNPvaluethereforemorechanceofcompletingtheapproachwithoutanydeviationalert.
