The entrance porch is facing north while the kitchen faces west in this building. West side has minimum window openings.
The central courtyard, external pa@os and study room face east, shaded from aAernoon sun.
External finish of this building is l ight grey, this colour reduces heat gain by reflec@ng solar radia@on.
Hollow bricks with double sand bricks for the west facing external walls.
All windows openings and doors have ver@cal or horizontal concrete sun-‐shading slabs that extend 450mm from the wall.
Float glass windows in the building.
Void with louvers above to maximize daylight.
