Power Line communication system

Power Line Communication (PLC) is a communication technology that enables sending data over existing power cables.

For the purpose of understanding, PLC can be broadly viewed as:

 1. Narrowband PLC2. Broadband PLC

  Narrowband PLC works at lower frequencies,

lower data rates, and has longer range, which can be extended using repeaters.

Broadband PLC works at higher frequencies, high data rates and is used in shorter-range applications.

Duplex communication In Duplex communications system two

equipments can communicate with each other in both the directions simultaneously and hence the name Duplex

In the Duplex communication system, two devices can communicate with each other at the same time.

Half duplex communication In half Duplex communication system,

both the two parties can’t communicate simultaneously. The sender has to stop sending the signals to the recipient and then only the recipient can respond.

Tactical Communication System

Another mode of communication is the tactical mode of communication. In this mode of communication, communication varies according to the changes in the environmental conditions and other situations.
