“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.”JOHN 14:23-29
Dear beloved parishioners,
On April 25th, I had my formal evaluation with the seminary formation board and was recommended to move onto 3rd Year Theology for the upcoming academic year. Thank you for all the love, support, and encouragement that you have given to me this pastoral year. Your kind words, smiles, and excitement are clear signs from God that I am called to be a diocesan priest. My last day at the parish is June 9th. For the summer, I will be attending 2 weeks of spiritual direction school with the Marian Servants of Divine Providence. Immediately afterwards, I will be going to a 30-day silent retreat with the Institute for Priestly Formation in Omaha, NE. From there, I will return to seminary.
If you wish to contact me, you can reach me at wayne.ly@smseminary.com,and St. Mary’s Seminary, 9845 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77024. This great parish will always have a place in my heart, and please continue to pray for me as I get closer to ordination.
Your energetic seminarian,
Wayne Ly
