An Occurrence at a Farm in the Country

“I bought a farm in the country,” said the man.

“Oh, hooray!” said the duck.

“Oh, hooray!” said the pig.

“Uh oh,” said the dog.

“I can go swimming!” said the duck.

“I can play in the mud!” said the pig.

The dog sat quietly.

“We do have to stop by the veterinary office first,” said the man.

“But it will only take a minute.”

“Okay!” said the duck.

“Okay!” said the pig.

“Okay,” said the dog, a little sadly.

So they went.

They stopped at the veterinary office.

But it only took a minute.

And then they were on their way again.

They drove…

and drove…

and drove…

And finally got to the farm!

“It is beautiful!” said the duck.

“It is beautiful!” said the pig.

Even the dog agreed.

The duck swam in the pond.

The pig played in the mud.

And the dog ran and ran.

And the next day, they did it all again!
