INSTRUCTIONS• Print out (preferably in colour) slides 2 to 15 inclusive as two

pages of “Handouts” 2 slides to an A4 page.• Photocopy (preferably in colour) onto card.• Laminate (optional) and cut into sets each of 14 cards.• Print out slides 16 to 20 inclusive as slides onto A4 sheets or

cards.• Pupils to place cards onto appropriate sheets.• Alternatively, teacher or pupils (on their own or in small

groups) screen slide show and get pupils to enter slide numbers under “Algae”; “Bacteria”; “Fungi”; “Protozoa” and “Viruses” headings or boxes.

• See slide 21 for suggested table format and slide 22 for a completed table. Save a master copy of this file and then delete the last slide (22) if using this PowerPoint in any pupil controlled exercise (browsing at a computer or as a ‘kiosk’ show).
