Notice of regular board meeting was made through an annual calendar and by email.
Cherish Ralls called the regular Board of Directors meeting to order at approximately 11:45 a.m.
Present: Cherish Ralls (Secretary), David Cottrell (Treasurer), Ken Howell (Board Governance Chair),
Jeff Bonney, Michael Brown, Kristine Buxton, Carolyn Ann Hansing, Peggy Kates, Joy LaBar, Jason
Osborn, Toni Parks-Payne, Marisa Records, Erik Salazar, Tim Scott, Linda Slawson, Brooke Townsend,
and Miki Farris.

Thanked Carolyn Hansing and Annette White Klososky for providing lunch for the meeting
and shared a client story.
Introduced Young Professional board members: Bailey Gatewood and Lindsey Fry
Review of minutes –
Minutes reviewed. There were no changes.
Motion: Peggy Kates made a motion to approve the March 2, 2017 minutes as written. Kyle Impson
seconded the motion. All were in favor, there were none opposed. The motion passed.

Reviewed the dashboard and upcoming events.

Ken went over the Bylaws on attendance. Informed the board that we have forms available to nominate
prospective board members and Jo Jones gave an update from the Advisory Council.

New Business
Kyle Impson gave an update on the Tech . They have met and the new website should be up mid-summer
2017. They have done research on the possibility of creating an App and with new website being mobile
friendly it is more cost effective to just utilize the new website. The new data base software design is done
and our IT department is inputting our data, should be up and using the new system in June.
Executive Session
There was no executive session.
Motion: David Cottrell made a motion to approve the strategic plans presented by Molly Helm. Jason
Osborn seconded the motion. All were in favor, there were none opposed. The motion passed, the
strategic plans were approved.

Clients Served: Month of May we saw a total of 1046 Babies NEW- 294
Clients Served: Month of June we saw a total of 1,148 Babies NEW-346
In May we gave away: 96 car seats.
Accomplishments: **NEW**
Client Services Staff member Marita Rojas, holds a Spanish workshop every Wednesday for
6 weeks, and takes a 3 week break before the next class. All who accomplish the 6 week
class receive a certificate of completion, each class they attend they receive a pack of 10
diapers as an incentive.
April-May-Temperaments class (finished with 7 moms)
June-July- Self Esteem class (Finished with 7 moms)

Summer 2017
Agency Appreciation and Networking Luncheon Infant Crisis Services hosted our annual Agency Appreciation and Networking Luncheon on Tuesday, July 25th. Each year we invite our referral partners to join us for lunch as a way to say thank you for all of the referrals they provide throughout the year and for the excellent resources they provide to our client families. This year, more than 140 individuals from over 70 agencies attended. Special recognition was awarded to:
