Forward
Welcome to the SITS Trainers Network May 2017 Event/Conference. The SITS Trainers Network was founded on 29/02/2012 as a forum for anyone involved in training-related activities with regards to the SITS:Vision system (provided by Tribal Group plc). Members of the SITS Trainers Network meet at events hosted by member institutions and at the SITS User Conference. These events provide an opportunity to meet other like-minded users of the SITS:Vision system to discuss a variety of commonly shared training initiatives and issues. The SITS Trainers Network has always favoured a collaborate approach to the work of the training community so that members can work together and offer guidance, pass on lessons learned, highlight methods of good practice and offer assistance across all member institutions. The network continues to collaboratively work on new initiatives facilitated by the training community, for the training community. On the agenda for the day will be a presentation from Assima with regards to their ‘STT Trainer’ eLearning solution, a lunch time tour of the University of Surrey Campus and two afternoon workshops. The afternoon workshops will include common topics/issues/scenarios (working with SME’s, assessing feedback, blended learning etc) and training for SITS Client and e:Vision. Many thanks to Renee Stoll (University of Bristol) and Briony Hancox (Sheffield Hallam University) for facilitating the workshops. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all members for their continued interest in the SITS Trainers Network and we hope that you enjoy the May 2017 event at the University of Surrey. On behalf of the network, we would like to convey our appreciation and sincere thanks to John Crofts (University of Surrey) for the venue arrangements and for the arrangement of our external speakers. With very best regards, Richard Clark (Chair) Luke Austin (Vice Chair & Regional Facilitator - M62) Carlos Bertrand (Regional Facilitator - London & South of England) Richard Block (Regional Facilitator - Midlands, Wales & West of England)

Car: Guildford is 30 miles south-west of London, on the A3 London-Portsmouth
road. If approaching from London or the M25 (Junction 10), remain on the bypass (A3) until you reach the exit signed to the Cathedral and University. The campus is very close to this junction. Follow the signs to the University, being careful not to follow signs to the Town Centre.
If approaching on the A322 or A323 from Bagshot or Aldershot, at the A3 roundabout take the exit signed to Portsmouth, and then turn off the A3 at the first exit (signed to the Cathedral and University).
If entering Guildford from Horsham (A281) or Godalming (A3100), leave the central gyratory system at the exit signed for Farnham (A31). After approximately 200 yards, at the mini-roundabout, take the first turning right into Guildford Park Road, and continue along Madrid Road and The Chase for a mile. At the next roundabout, take the third exit for the University entrance.
