• SingularitiesinAlgebraicGeometryand/orsymplectictopology.Advisor:J. Fernandez de Bobadilla.Theteam focuses inSingularitiesandAlgebraicGeometry from a inter-disciplinar perspective (algebraic, topological,symplecticorHodgeTheoreticalmethods).Hewillfocusonatopicinthefieldaccording with his thematic preference and abilities. Possibilities includeLipschitz Geometry of Singularities, Floer Homology of Milnor fibrations,Geometric Representation Theory, Sheaf and Hodge Theoretic aspects ofsingularities.

• Brocket–Wegner Flow equations and Many-Particle Systems. Advisor:Jean-Bernard Bru. Following [Bru-Bach, Memoirs of the AMS 240(1138)(2016)]wewill use the Brocket–Wegner flow to study quadratic fermionicoperators as well as the unitary (polaron) transformation. The semigrouptheoryandaknowledgeofnonautonomousevolutionequationsarepivotalinthiscontext.

• StochasticProcessesforAnomalousDiffusioninLivingCells.Advisor:G.Pagnini.SinceNobelprizes2009inPhysiologyorMedicine,2012and2014inChemistry,availabledataonmechanismsinlivingcellsincreaseddramaticallycallingfortheirunderstanding.Researchfocusesontheobservedanomalousdynamics from the viewpoint of stochastic processes and statisticalmechanics.
