The Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 15:21-28

Jesus left that place and went away to the district of Tyre and Sidon. Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came out and started

shouting, ‘Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is tormented by a demon.’ But he did not answer her at all.

And his disciples came and urged him, saying, ‘Send her away, for she keeps shouting after us.’ He answered,

‘I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.’ But she came and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, help me.’

He answered, ‘It is not fair to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.’ She said, ‘Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the

crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.’ Then Jesus answered her, ‘Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.’

And her daughter was healed instantly.

St. Rocco’s Church, Martins Creek will celebrate their annual Festival, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 11, 12, & 13 from 6 -10:30 PM each night on the church grounds. Join us for our traditional Porketta,

Crispelli and other food specialties. Games, rides, and live entertainment will be featured nightly. Located approximately 6 miles north of Easton off Route 611 at 6658 School St. (610-258- 9059).

The event will be held rain or shine.

St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church in Newtown Square, PA will sponsor their Annual Middle East Food and Cultural Festival Celebration on Saturday, August 13th from 12 noon to 11:00 pm

and Sunday, August 14th from 12:30 to 9:00 pm. There will be a variety of Lebanese foods and dancing to the music of the George Maamari Band. Admission is free

Heritage Days Parking

This year we are happy to announce that there are over 1,500 parking spaces

available for Heritage Day within one street of the festival. The 3rd Street

Parking Garage (350 Spaces) and the Pine Street Garage (500 Spaces), are

available to park in after 5:00 pm for only $1 for the entire evening.
