A-ha - Podcasting & Blogs are Web 2.0 tools

• New technology and increasing popularity among educational facilities.

• Podcasting is audio/video file that is automatically delivered to the network and can be played back on a computer, MP3 player, phone, or audio device.

Blogs http://michelle-whatgoeson.blogspot.com/

• Have had negative reviews in the classroom for being too time consuming and tedious, but before you judge it is important to understand them.

• Blogs are not the same as journals.• Blogs are all about an open line of communication• Provides students the time to read, reflect, ask questions,

leave comments, and view other classmates work. This will deepen learning and understanding.

• Blogs bring new dimension and allow students to continue knowledge after class hours.

• Continual learning at your finger tips.• Go to the link above for my blog.

Favorite Quotes

“A-ha”Students are the priority! If they are learning

differently then leaders need to teach differently. Web 2.0 tools can open this line of learning and communication.

A-haSomething tends to be lost in the hectic

universe of a leadership(teaching), it is important to reach our followers(students) in a way they can understand.

ConclusionThe three articles I choose have a common theme,

using 21st century in the classroom with web 2.0 tools such as podcasting and blogs. As leaders we know that it is easy for students to learn concepts and ideas that relate to something that the student already knows, or has directly experienced. Web 2.0 tools can make new learning meaningful and offer new ways to explore. We as future educators must provide an opportunity to engage students through a new type of learning experience, podcasting and blogs can offer the authentic learning experience.

21st century technologies are students classroom language and we as educators need to integrate this technology in the classroom.
