The band has an extensive backcatalogue goes from the mostly Englishindie-rock and power-popHair Peace SalonNmes. Since 1998 this band was on stagewith aworthy success story, but in themidof2013itsfrontmanAlehVial(guitar,vocal)and Alex Stepanovich (drums) decided tomake a new music chapter by themselves. Shortly aSer that two other members joined toBristeil:MaхBykau(leadguitar)andGenaLukashanets(bass).

ThebandnamefollowsEricJohnson’ssong“BristolShore”andacollaboraNonbetweenAlehVialandtheworld-famousmusicianandproducerTricky fromBristol,UK.Musicians justhavecorrectedband'snameto“Bristeil”in order to not get lost among countless web-links.

“Bristeil,perhaps, isasomedefiniteplace,perhaps, there isgood,buttheonething isexactlycleartous:MUSICandSOULareintothat,”somusicianssayabouttheirbandname.

InMay, 2014 Bristeil released their first EP called “Cyruĺnia Svietu” (Barbershop of theWorld into English). This record representsmusic results of sixmonths work. All four trackswerewriaen inBelarusian – thenaNve language for allmusicians. Two tracks on this EP arecovers: “VideaHuĺni”of “VideoGames”byLanaDelRey, “Pa-zaČasam”of “OutOfTime”byHairPeaceSalon.

EP “Cyruĺnia Svietu” received some positive journalists reviews and good feedbackfromlisteners.Forexample,oneofthefamousmusicportals inBelarus,Tuzin.fmcalledthisreleaselike“pleasant,unstrained,lively,intelligentmusic…abeautifulandworthydebutthatisdeservedthehighestrating”.

In September 2014 the first music video on the new single “Muzyka Hučyć” (MusicSounds into English) as the Tricky’s “Unfinished Track” contest winner song was releasedbasedonalivestudiosessionfootage.

InNovember2014Tuzin.fmnominatedBristeiltothe“OpeningoftheYear“award.SinceApril2015BristeilisanambassadorofTheWillGrayBlueprintfoundaNon.Thebandisplanningtoreleasealotofnewmusicthingssoon.
