THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH

IF ANY MAN BE IN CHRIST

2015

PRESENTING EVERY MAN PERFECT

Only through faith are we made perfect

We can only manifest the fruit of perfection to the extent that

we are engrafted in Christ

As we are made perfect, we present every man perfect in our chapters

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” (NIV)

”Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” KJV

Col. 1:28

Dictionary.com defines PRESENTING as:

To Furnish or endow with a giftTo Bring, Offer, or Give, often in a formal or ceremonious way

To Hand over or Submit To Introduce (a person) to another, especially in a formal manner

To come to show (oneself) before a person, in or at a place

Being entirely without fault or defect, flawless.

Satisfying all requirements, accurate. Corresponding to an ideal standard Faithfully reproducing the original. Pure, total, lacking in no essential detail,

complete. Mature.

The Merriam – Webster dictionary defines PERFECT as:

Perfection: A Command

“I [am] the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” Gen 1:17

“Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.” 1Kg 8:61

“Be ye therefore perfect , even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” . Mt 5:48-6:1

Perfection is God’s ultimate goal for saving man. God’s purpose in engrafting us into Christ is to make us perfect. Rom 8:29.

Perfection

God wants us to be exactly like Himself but this is achievable only as we permit the Perfect Christ to live His perfect life in us. Col 1:27.

“I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed. I’ll put my Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands.” Ez 35:26-27 (Messg)

Perfection

Perfection is therefore not an external observance of some rules, no matter how good the rules are. It is not JUST speaking in tongues or trying hard to be good (1Pt 1:23)

Rather, it is an inner work of God’s grace (accessed by surrenderedness and obedience to the Spirit) that works its way to the outward in thoughts, words and actions (Gal 5:22-24)

Walking in PerfectionBe filled and full of the Holy Spirit“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh….”.Gal 5:16

Mortify the flesh through exchange of your old life of sin with His own life of righteousness. “And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Gal 5:24

Engage the Holy Spirit in daily walk. “ Always ask what will You have me do” “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit”. Gal 5:25

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Rom 12:1

YOU Must Present Yourself Perfect

Surrender to His lordship & obey Him in all things– at home, office & in the community

Call men back to God and strengthen their faith through PREACHING. Be sure to preach Christ, not self

Engage and disciple them through ADMONITION and TEACHING for the perfecting of the saints till you and them come unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: (Eph 4: 11-12), Be a living example they can see

Equip the men for operational best practices to ensure effectiveness.

The Theme & The FGBMFI Vision

Through the Discipleship program, equip the men to live unto and for Christ

Envision them by the power of the Holy Spirit

Help the men find their place in the vision

“For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statues and judgments.” Ez 7:10

“In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach.” Act 1:1(NIV)

Conclusions

God has given us JESUS – the Perfect Master, to live His life in us. He has given us THE HOLY SPIRIT of perfection to enable us live a perfect life. He has also given us the FGBMFI vision as a vehicle to carry out His purpose on earth.
