• Groundbreaking November 20, 2009

• Construction began on November 23, 2009

• To date 2,500 man-hours on the project

• Communication with the City and the Railroad is good

• Completion in August 2010

Construction Site• Debris removal

• 1,500 feet of fence• 300 feet of a rail spur• Approximately 2 acres of buried asphalt• One 1,300 sq-foot loading dock

• Grading• Required to raise the site 4-6 feet• Imported 11,500 cubic yards of soil, 895

truckloads of dirt

North Retaining Wall

• 210 cubic yards of concrete in wall

• 238 cubic yards of concrete in footing

• 9’ tall, 708’ long, 1’ thick

Note the change in elevation

Cast in place wall (CIP)

Saves time & money and is just as strong

Rain

•To date there have been 12 rain days

•1 million gallons of runoff went through the site without catastrophic results
