FOR CONSUMER INSURANCE CONTRACTS (INSURANCE WHOLLY FOR PURPOSES UNRELATED TO YOUR TRADE, BUSINESS OR
PROFESSION)
This Policy is issued in consideration of the payment of premium as specified in the Policy Schedule and pursuant to the answers given in your
Proposal Form (or when you applied for this insurance) and any other disclosures made by you between the time of submission of your Proposal
Form (or when you applied for this insurance) and the time this contract is entered into. The answers and any other disclosures given by you
shall form part of this contract of insurance between you and us. However, in the event of any pre-contractual misrepresentation made in relation
to your answers or in any disclosures given by you, only the remedies in Schedule 9 of the Financial Services Act 2013 will apply.
This Policy reflects the terms and conditions of the contract of insurance as agreed between you and us.
FOR NON – CONSUMER INSURANCE CONTRACTS (INSURANCE FOR PURPOSES RELATED TO YOUR TRADE, BUSINESS OR
PROFESSION)
This Policy is issued in consideration of the payment of premium as specified in the Policy Schedule and pursuant to the answers given in your
Proposal Form (or when you applied for this insurance) and any other disclosures made by you between the time of submission of your Proposal
Form (or when you applied for this insurance) and the time this contract is entered into. The answers and any other disclosures given by you
shall form part of this contract of insurance between you and us. In the event of any pre-contractual misrepresentation made in relation to your
answers or in any disclosures made by you, it may result in avoidance of your contract of insurance, refusal or reduction of your claim(s), change
of terms or termination of your contract of insurance.
This Policy reflects the terms and conditions of the contract of insurance as agreed between you and us.
WHEREAS You, the Policyholder named in the Policy Schedule, has applied to Lonpac Insurance Bhd (hereinafter called 'the Company') for
the insurance herein described to insure the Insured Person(s) described in the Policy Schedule and has paid or agreed to pay the premium
stated in the Policy Schedule as consideration for the insurance hereinafter contained.
NOW THIS POLICY WITNESSES that we agree to compensate or indemnify you or your nominee(s) or lawful executor or administrator under
the terms and conditions of this policy in respect of events occurring during the Period of Insurance including specific even ts prior to or
subsequent to the insured travel itinerary as described in the Policy, or any subsequent period for which you pay and we accept the required
premium.
Our provision of insurance under this policy is conditional upon you observing and fulfilling the terms, provision, conditions and clauses of this
policy.
PROVISION
1. Type of Cover
The type of cover of this policy stipulated in the Policy Schedule and shall be one of the following:-
(a) One Way Trip Policy
A one way travel made by the Insured Person from Malaysia to a scheduled Destination, and shall commence at the later of the time
the Insured Person leaves his/her usual place of residence or employment for a direct journey to the place of embarkation in Malaysia
to commence the travel but in any event not to commence more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the Scheduled Departure Time
and shall terminate on the earliest of the time:
a. upon the expiry of the Period of Insurance as specified in the Policy Schedule; or
b. upon the date falling ninety (90) consecutive days after the commencement of the Trip; or
c. upon the time of arrival at the airport or the station or terminal of Common Carrier of the final scheduled Destination.
The duration for each One Way Trip including any stopover prior to the arrival at the airport or the station or terminal of Common
Carrier of the final scheduled Destination shall not exceed ninety (90) consecutive days from the commencement date of the Tr ip and
it is within the Period of Insurance.
(b) Return Trip Policy A return travel made by the Insured Person from Malaysia to a scheduled Destination and back, and shall commence at the later of
the time the Insured Person leaves his/her usual place of residence or employment for a direct journey to the place of embarkation in Malaysia to commence the travel but in any event not to commence more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the Scheduled Departure Time and shall terminate on the earliest of the time:
a. upon the expiry of the Period of Insurance as specified in the Policy Schedule; or
b. upon the date falling ninety (90) consecutive days after the commencement of the Trip; or
c. the Insured Person’s return to his/her usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia; or
d. twenty-four (24) hours after the arrival at the airport or the station or terminal of the Common Carrier in Malaysia.
The duration for each Return Trip:
a. Single Trip Policy - shall not exceed ninety (90) consecutive days from the commencement date of the trip;
b. Annual Policy - shall not exceed ninety (90) consecutive days from the commencement date of the trip for each and every trip;
and

c. is within the Period of Insurance
(c) Annual Policy
A Policy issued for the selected Overseas Plan where the Insured Person can make an unlimited number of Trips from Malaysia to
the selected Overseas area of cover during the Period of Insurance.
The policy is also extended to include Domestic Travel. Domestic Travel refers to a trip undertaken by the Insured Person for leisure
and/or business to a scheduled Destination anywhere within West Malaysia or within Sabah and/or Sarawak which:
a. commences from the Insured Person’s usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia and;
b. is beyond 200km from the Insured Person’s usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia and;
c. excludes any daily commute to and from the Insured Person’s usual or normal place of employment or work and;
d. excludes any travel in private conveyance unless it’s a direct journey from the Insured Person’s usual place of residence or
employment in Malaysia (whichever is later) to the airport or the station or terminal of Common Carrier for embarkation to commence the Trip or a direct journey upon Insured Person’s return, which is from the airport or the station or terminal of Common Carrier to the Insured Person’s usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia (whichever is earlier)
The duration of any one Trip shall not exceed ninety (90) days in total if a Domestic Travel is followed by Overseas travel or vice-versa and subsequent return to the Insured Person’s usual place of residence in Malaysia.
2. Geographical Area
The cover provide by this policy is provided based on the following region of travel: -
(a) Area 1 - Between Sabah or Sarawak and West Malaysia or vice versa (b) Area 2 - Between Sabah or Sarawak and West Malaysia or vice versa, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines,
Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka including Domestic Travel within Malaysia if this is an Annual Plan
(c) Area 3 - Worldwide including Domestic Travel within Malaysia if this is an Annual Plan
3. Eligibility
If the Policyholder is an Individual, persons eligible for insurance under the Policy are:-
(i) the Policyholder who is a Malaysian, Malaysian Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid work permit, employment pass, dependent
pass, long-term social visit pass or student pass issued by the authorities in Malaysia, and be at least nineteen (19) years of age and
below eighty-one (81) years of age on the Effective Date.; and/or
(ii) a legally married Spouse of the Policyholder who is a Malaysian, Malaysian Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid work permit,
employment pass, dependent pass, long-term social visit pass or student pass issued by the authorities in Malaysia, and be at least
nineteen (19) years of age and below eighty-one (81) years of age on the Effective Date; and/or
(iii) Under a Family Policy, a Dependant Child who is a Malaysian, Malaysian Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid dependent pass
or student pass issued by the authorities in Malaysia, and has attained the age of thirty (30) days and is under the age of nineteen
(19) and is an unmarried, unemployed person and financially dependent upon the Policyholder, or up to the age of twenty-five (25)
for those registered as full time students at a recognised educational institution.
If the Policyholder is a corporate entity, persons eligible for insurance under the Policy are persons in whom the Policyholder has insurable
interest. They include the following:-
(i) an Employee or Member of the corporate entity;
(ii) a legally married Spouse of an Employee or Member who is a Malaysian, Malaysian Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid work
permit, employment pass, dependent pass, long-term social visit pass or student pass issued by the authorities in Malaysia, and be
at least nineteen (19) years of age and below eighty-one (81) years of age on the Effective Date.
(iii) Under a Family Policy, a Dependent Child of an Employee or Member who is a Malaysian, Malaysian Permanent Resident, or holder
of a valid dependent pass or student pass issued by the authorities in Malaysia, and has attained the age of thirty (30) days and is
under the age of nineteen (19) and is an unmarried, unemployed person and financially dependent upon the Policyholder, or up to
the age of twenty (25) for those registered as full time students at a recognised educational institution.
For item (ii) and (iii), the insurance under this Policy is subject to the conditions that item (i) must be insured in the same policy at the same
time.
4. Commencement of Coverage
(a) Coverage under Section 3.5 for Loss of Travel Deposit and Section 3.7 for Cancellation Expenses are effective upon the issuance
of the Policy and terminates on commencement of the scheduled Trip from Malaysia.
(b) Coverage under Section 3.7 for Postponement Expenses is effective upon the issuance of the Policy and terminates upon the
postponement of the scheduled Trip.
(c) For other Sections, coverage is effective upon the commencement of the scheduled Trip from Malaysia.
5. Termination of Coverage
(a) All the coverage of an Insured Person under this Policy shall terminate automatically on the earliest of the following events: -
(i) Upon the expiry date of the Period of Insurance at 11.59 p.m. Malaysia time; or
(ii) Upon the date falling ninety (90) consecutive days after the commencement of each Trip under an Annual Policy; or
(iii) If the Insured Person under an Annual Policy is travelling to a Destination for any of the following purposes, such Trip shall
be considered as One Way Trip and the coverage shall terminate automatically upon the time the Insured Person arrives at
the airport or the station or terminal of Common Carrier of this Destination which is deemed as the final scheduled Destination
under this Policy:
1. as a student going to the Destination for education regardless of short period or full period; or
2. emigrating or returning to his/her Home Country or the country where he/she has the Permanent Resident status; or

3. going to the Destination for a permanent employment and/or permanent stay which the duration of stay in this
Destination is more than ninety (90) days.
(iv) Upon the date falling ninety (90) consecutive days after the commencement of the Trip under a Single Trip Policy;
(v) Upon the return of Insured Person to usual his/her address of residence in Malaysia;
(vi) Upon the time the Insured Person arrives at the airport or the station or terminal of Common Carrier of the final scheduled
Destination under a One Way Trip Policy;
(vii) Upon the Insured Person ceasing to satisfy any of the eligibility requirements set out herein;
(viii) Upon the death of Insured Person.
(b) If the Policyholder’s coverage under this Policy is terminated under Clause (a) above, the entire Policy and coverage for all other
Insured Persons in the same Policy will terminate automatically.
6. Automatic Policy Extension
(a) In the event that the Insured Person, as a ticket holding passenger on a scheduled Common Carrier, being prevented from
completing the return leg of a Return Trips within the Period of Insurance, as a result of: -
(i) his/her Serious Bodily Injury or Serious Sickness; or
(ii) the scheduled Common Carrier in which the Insured Person is travelling being unavoidably delayed due to strike or industrial
actions, adverse weather conditions or mechanical breakdown/derangement of the Common Carrier or due to grounding of
an aircraft as a result of mechanical or structural defect.
the Period of Insurance shall be automatically extended for such further period as may be reasonably necessary for completion of
the Trip, up to a period of fifteen (15) days from the Policy’s original expiry date without additional premium.
(b) In the event that the Insured Person is being confined in a Hospital at the expiry of the Policy whilst during the Trip, the Period of
Insurance shall be automatically extended for such further period as may be reasonably necessary for completion of the Trip, up to a period of fifteen (15) days from the Policy’s original expiry date without additional premium.
DEFINITIONS
These terms, wherever used in this Policy, are defined as follows:-
1. Accident or Accidental
A sudden, unintentional, unexpected, unusual, and specific event that occurs at an identifiable time and place which shall, independently
of any other cause, be the sole cause of Bodily Injury.
2. Age
The current age. A person is considered to be of his/her current age based on the year of birth.
3. Assistance Provider
The assistance company authorized by Us to act on Our behalf.
4. Bodily Injury
Physical injury which is caused by an Accident and independent of any other cause and does not include sickness, disease or any
naturally occurring condition or degenerative disease.
5. Child
Legal child including step-child or legally adopted child of the Policyholder.
6. Civil War
Armed opposition between two or more parties belonging to the same country where the opposing parties are of different ethnic, religious
or ideological groups. The definition includes armed rebellion, revolution, sedition, insurrection, Coup d’etat, the consequences of martial
law.
7. Common Carrier
Any mechanically propelled conveyance operated under a licence issued by a governmental authority having jurisdiction, for the regular
transportation of fare-paying passengers and which has fixed, established routes only.
8. Commuting
While in the course of daily travel directly between the place of residence (usual or temporary) and place of employment (usual or
temporary).
9. Compensation
Sum Insured, Total Sum Insured or percentage of the Sum Insured, as appropriate.
10. Daily Living Activities
Activities such as, but not limited to, cooking and/or taking of food, discharging of urine and/or faeces, getting dressed or undressed,
washing and taking a bath, walking and general living activities.
11. Date of Loss
a. for Accident shall be the date of Accident.
b. for all other benefits shall be the date of the event happened that leads to an alleged claim.
c. for Sickness shall be the first date of diagnosis or the date the Insured Person became aware of the Sickness.
12. Death
Death occurring solely, directly and independently of all other causes, as a result of Bodily Injury.
13. Dependant
Any of the following persons:-
a. a legally married Spouse of the Policyholder
b. Child (including step-child or legally adopted child) of the Policyholder who has attained the age of thirty (30) days and is under the
age of nineteen (19) and is an unmarried, unemployed person and financially dependent upon the Policyholder, or up to the age of
twenty-five (25) for those registered as full time students at a recognised educational institution.
14. Destination
A place/ country where the Insured Person plans to travel there.

15. Doctor or Physician or Surgeon
A registered medical practitioner who is qualified and licensed to practise western medicine and who, in rendering such treatment, is
practicing within the scope of his/her licensing and training in the geographical area of practice, but excluding a doctor, physician or
surgeon who is Insured/Insured Person himself/herself.
16. Domestic Travel
A trip undertaken within Peninsular Malaysia or Sabah and / or Sarawak which :-
a. is commences when the Insured Person leaves his/her usual place of residence or employment and ends when he/she returns
home within Peninsular Malaysia or within Sabah and/or Sarawak; and
b. is beyond 200km from the Insured Person’s usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia; and
c. exclude daily commute to and from the Insured Person’s usual or normal place of employment or work; and
d. excludes any travel in private conveyance unless it’s a direct journey from the Insured Person’s usual place of residence or
employment in Malaysia (whichever is later) to the airport or the station or terminal of Common Carrier for embarkation to commence
the Trip or a direct journey upon Insured Person’s return, which is from the airport or the station or terminal of Common Carrier to the
Insured Person’s usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia (whichever is earlier).
17. Effective Date
The date shown in the Policy Schedule or Endorsement or Certificate of Insurance from which cover (or an amendment to the cover)
under this Policy commences.
18. Endorsement
An authorized amendment to this Policy.
19. Family Policy
a. the Policyholder and the Policyholder’s accompanying Child(ren); or
b. the Policyholder, one of the Policyholder’s legal Spouse, and the Policyholder’s accompanying Child(ren).
who are named as Insured Person in the Policy Schedule. Policyholder here refers to the Insured Person who had purchased the
coverage.
20. Foreign War
Armed opposition, whether declared or not between two countries.
21. Home Country
Any country of which the Insured Person is a citizen.
22. Hospital
An establishment duly constituted and registered as a hospital for the care and treatment of sick and injured persons as paying bed-
patients, and which:-
a. has facilities for diagnosis and major surgery;
b. provides twenty-four (24) hours a day nursing services by registered and graduate nurses;
c. is under the supervision of a Physician; and
d. is not primarily a clinic; a place for alcoholics or drug addicts; a nursing, rest or convalescent home or a home for the aged or similar
establishment.
23. Hospitalisation
An admission to a Hospital as a registered inpatient for medically necessary treatments due to an Accident or Sickness upon
recommendation of a Doctor. A patient shall not be considered as hospitalised if the patient does not physically stay in the Hospital for
the whole period of confinement.
24. Immediate Family Member(s)
The Insured Person’s spouse, children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, siblings, siblings-in-law, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents,
grandchildren, legal guardian or ward, step or adopted children; step-parents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
25. Insured
The Policyholder described in the Policy Schedule or Certificate of Insurance.
26. Insured Person
The person described in the Policy Schedule who is the subject matter of insurance.
27. Jewellery
Objects worn on the body as decoration which have inclusions of precious metals, precious stones and/or semi-precious stones.
28. Kidnap
The illegal taking and holding captive of the Insured Person by person(s) who then demand a ransom as a condition of the release of
such captive Insured Person.
29. Laptop
The complete laptop including accessories and/or attachments that come as standard equipment with the laptop. Any handheld
computers, tablet computers or devices including but not limited to personal digital assistants (PDA) and the like are excluded from this
category.
30. Limb
The entire limb between the shoulder and the wrist or between the hip and the ankle.
31. Loss of Fingers or Toes
Complete separation through or above the metacarpophalangeal joints or metatarsophalangeal joints.
32. Loss of Hearing
Total and permanent loss of hearing which is caused by Bodily Injury.
33. Loss of Limb
Permanent physical severance or permanent total loss of use of the limb which is caused Bodily Injury.
34. Loss of Sight
Total and irrecoverable loss of all sight in any eye rendering the Insured Person absolutely blind in that eye and beyond remedy by
surgical or other treatment.
35. Loss of Speech
Total and permanent loss of the ability to speak which is caused by Bodily Injury.

36. Loss of Use
Permanent and total loss of the use of the Limb in terms of physical incapacity or disability in all aspects of Daily Living Activities and not
only in terms of professional or occupational incapacity or disability of the Insured Person.
37. Medical Expenses
Reasonable, customary and necessary medical expenses incurred for the treatment of Bodily Injury or Sickness (applicable to Overseas
travel only).
38. Medical Treatment
A Physician’s advice, treatment, consultations, and prescribed or remedial attention.
39. Overseas
Any country outside of Malaysia or between Sabah or Sarawak and West Malaysia or vice versa.
40. Overseas Plan
A Single Trip Policy plan or Annual Policy plan for Trip which is:-
a. undertaken by the Insured Person for leisure and/or business travel from Malaysia to a scheduled Destination outside of Malaysia;
or
b. between Sabah or Sarawak and West Malaysia or vice versa.
41. Period of Insurance
The period which the coverage under this Policy is effective, as stated in the Policy Schedule or Certificate of Insurance.
42. Permanent
Having lasted for three hundred and sixty-five (365) consecutive days and at the expiry of that period, being beyond hope of improvement.
43. Permanent Disablement
Disablement which, having lasted for at least three hundred and sixty-five (365) consecutive days will, in all probability, entirely prevent
the Insured Person from engaging in gainful employment of any and every kind for the remainder of their life.
44. Personal Effects
Articles or items carried or worn by the Insured Person.
45. Policy
The policy wording and the Policy Schedule and any other documents that may be subsequently issued to the Policyholder and which
We advise as forming part of the Policy.
46. Policyholder
An individual person or a legally registered corporate body to whom the Policy has been issued in respect of cover for persons specifically
identified as Insured Person in this Policy. The Policyholder shall also be referred to as the Insured.
47. Policy Schedule
The Policy Schedule which is attached to and forms part of this Policy.
48. Pre-existing Conditions
Physical or mental defect or infirmities that the Policyholder has reasonable knowledge of. The Policyholder may be considered to have
reasonable knowledge of a pre-existing condition where the condition is one for which: -
a. the Insured Person had received or is receiving treatment;
b. medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment has been recommended;
c. clear and distinct symptoms are or were evident; or
d. its existence would have been apparent to a reasonable person in the circumstances.
49. Reasonable and Customary Charges
Charges for medical care which is medically necessary shall be considered reasonable and customary to the extent that it does not
exceed the general level of charges being made by others of similar standing in the locality where the charge is incurred, when furnishing
like or comparable treatment, services or supplies to individual of the same sex and of comparable age for a similar sickness, disease or
injury and in accordance with accepted medical standards and practice could not have been omitted without adversely affecting the
Insured Person’s medical condition.
50. Resident In-Patient
The Insured Person who is hospitalised as a resident bed patient due to Bodily Injury or Sickness covered by this Policy and not merely
for any form of nursing, convalescence, rehabilitation, rest or extended care.
51. Scheduled Departure Date/ Time
The date or time on which the Insured Person is scheduled to depart as set out in his/her travel ticket
52. Single Trip Policy
A Policy issued for the selected plan where the Insured Person can only make and will only be covered under this Policy for a single
travel to the selected area of cover during the Period of Insurance.
53. Serious Bodily Injury or Serious Sickness
Bodily Injury or Sickness certified as being dangerous to life by a legally qualified medical practitioner.
54. Sickness, Disease or Illness
Any fortuitous somatic illness or sickness but excluding any sickness or illness which is, arises out of or is caused by a condition or defect
for which medical treatment was recognised, advised, sought out, or should have reasonably sought out, or received at any time before
the Period of Insurance.
55. Specialist
A medical or dental practitioner registered and licensed as such in the geographical area of his/her practice where treatment takes place
and who is classified by the appropriate health authorities as a person with superior and special expertise in specified fields of medicine
or dentistry, but excluding a physician or surgeon who is the Insured/ Insured Person himself/herself.
56. Specially Designated Nationals List
Names of a person, entities, groups, corporate specified on a list who are subject to any sanction, prohibition or restriction under United
Nations resolutions or the trade or economic sanctions, laws or regulations of the European Union and/or United Kingdom and/or United
States of America.
57. Spouse
A legally married spouse, as recognized under the laws of Malaysia.

58. Sum Insured
The amount stated in the Schedule of Benefits in the Policy Schedule as the maximum amount capped to the specific insurance details
in any Section of this Policy.
59. Travel Companion
A person who has travel bookings to accompany the Insured Person on the entire Trip. A Travel Companion must be a person who is
insured under a travel insurance policy underwritten by Us for the same Trip.
60. Trip
A One Way Trip or a Return Trips that commences from Malaysia excluding Commuting.

DESCRIPTION OF BENEFITS
SECTION 1 – PERSONAL ACCIDENT BENEFITS
If during the Trip, the Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury which results in Death or Permanent Disablement within three hundred and sixty-
five (365) days from the date of Accident, We will pay the compensation according to the Scale of Accidental Death and Permanent
Disablement Benefits specified below and up to the relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule.

The aggregate of all percentages payable in respect of any one Insured Person shall not exceed one hundred percent (100%). If a total of
one hundred percent (100%) having been paid, all the insurance hereunder in respect of that Insured Person shall immediately terminate. All
other losses smaller than one hundred percent (100%) if having been paid shall reduce the relevant Sum Insured by that amount from the
date of Accident until expiration of the insurance cover.
Special Extensions
1. Disappearance – If during the Trip, the Insured Person disappears and after three hundred and sixty-five (356) days from the date of
reported disappearance of Insured Person, We have examined all evidence available and it is reasonable to believe that such Insured
Person has died as a result of an Accidental Bodily Injury. The disappearance of the Insured Person shall be considered to constitute a
claim under this Policy and the Accidental Death benefit shall be payable. However, if at any time after payment has been made the
Insured Person is found to be living, any sums paid by Us in settlement of claim shall be refunded to Us.
Specific Exclusions
No payment will be made for any of the items stated in Scale of Accidental Death and Permanent Disablement Benefits above caused by or
resulting from:
1. Illness, Sickness or Disease or congenital condition.
2. Food poisoning and/or drinks poisoning.
SECTION 2 – MEDICAL RELATED BENEFITS
2.1 Medical Expenses
If during the Trip for Overseas travel, the Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury or sudden unexpected Sickness, We will reimburse the
Insured Person the Medical Expenses incurred within the Period of Insurance, up to the relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy
Schedule.
Covered Expenses
The Medical Expenses incurred shall include and be limited to the following services:
(i) charges for 2-bedded Hospital room and board, use of the operating room, emergency room, and Ambulatory Medical Centre.
(ii) fee of Physicians
(iii) Medical Expenses, in or out of Hospital, including: laboratory tests, ambulance service (to or from the Hospital), prescription
medicines or drugs, therapeutics, anaesthetics (including administration of anaesthetics), transfusions, artificial limbs or eyes
(excluding repair or replacement of these items), x-rays, prosthetic appliances and including the cost of dental treatment where
such treatment is necessarily incurred to restore sound and natural teeth and is caused by an Accident
(iv) Charges for a registered nurse (R.N.)
Sub-Benefits under Section 2.1
a. Follow-up treatment in Malaysia (applicable to Return Trips of Overseas travel only) If, during the Period of Insurance, whilst the Insured Person is on a Return Trips of Overseas travel, he/she sustains Bodily Injury

(i) which has resulted in a valid claim for Medical Expenses under Section 2.1., and necessarily incur Medical Expenses
prescribed by a Physician in Malaysia within thirty (30) days after the end of the Return Trip as a direct result of such Bodily
Injury or Sickness, We will reimburse the Insured Person in respect of such expenses up to the relevant Sub-Limit of Sum
Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule.
(ii) that the Insured Person did not seek medical treatment for whilst Overseas, but which the Insured Person necessarily incurs
Medical Expenses prescribed by a Physician in Malaysia within thirty (30) days after the end of the Return Trip as a direct
result of such Bodily Injury or Sickness, We will reimburse the Insured Person in respect of such expenses up to the relevant
Sub-Limit of Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule, and further provide that the Insured Person had first sought medical
treatment by a Physician in Malaysia as a direct result of such Bodily Injury or Sickness within three (3) days after the end of
the Return Trip.
Covered Expenses
The Medical Expenses incurred shall include and be limited to the following services:
(i) charges for 2-bedded Hospital room and board, use of the operating room, emergency room, and Ambulatory Medical Centre.
(ii) fee of Physicians
(iii) Medical Expenses, in or out of Hospital, including: laboratory tests, ambulance service (to or from the Hospital), prescription
medicines or drugs, therapeutics, anaesthetics (including administration of anaesthetics), transfusions, artificial limbs or eyes

If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions and Specific Exclusions to Section 2.1, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of
any of the Insured Person if:
(i) any expenses relating to any treatment for Bodily Injury or Sickness where such treatment was sought and/or received more
than thirty (30) days from the time the Insured Person returns to Malaysia.
(ii) any expenses incurred in relation to traditional treatment or alternative treatment.
b. Alternative Medicine If during the Trip, the Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury or Sickness which requires alternative treatment, We will reimburse the
Reasonable and Customary Charges incurred for the alternative treatment up to the relevant Sub-Limit of Sum Insured stated in
Your Policy Schedule.
The Bodily Injury or Sickness must be attended and diagnosed by a legally licensed traditional medical practitioner, acupuncturist,
chiropractor, and/or a bonesetter who duly registered and is practising within the scope of his/her licensing and training in the
geographical area of practice provided that he/she is not the Policyholder, Insured Person and the Immediate Family Member.
Specific Conditions
(i) Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the treatment is required due
to Bodily Injury only.
(ii) If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
c. Hospital Allowance If during the Trip, the Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury or Sickness which requires Hospitalisation as a Resident In-Patient,
We will pay the relevant daily Sum Insured as stated in Your Policy Schedule.
The daily Sum Insured shall be paid for each complete day (24 hours) of Hospitalisation from the first day of Hospitalisation up to
maximum of ten (10) days for any one Accident or Sickness provided that the Hospitalisation occurs within thirty (30) days from
Date of Loss.
Specific Conditions
Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the Hospitalisation is required due
Bodily Injury.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions and Specific Exclusions to Section 2.1, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of
any of the Insured Person if:-
(i) the Hospitalisation does not occur within the Period of Insurance
(ii) the Hospitalisation is not covered under Section 2.1 (i)
(iii) the Hospitalisation for any surgery or medical treatment, which in the opinion of a Physician, could reasonably have been
delayed until the Insured Person’s return to Malaysia.
Specific Conditions to Section 2.1
(i) The compensation for medical expenses shall be limited to 10% Benefit Limit specified in the Schedule of Benefit for bodily injury
arising from accident only during domestic travel.
(ii) You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other source,
or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the excess of the
amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
(iii) The total Sum Insured payable under Section 2.1 (including the sub-Benefits a. b. and c.) in any one event in respect of any one
Insured Person shall not exceed the relevant Sum Insured of Section 2.1 – Medical Expenses as stated in Your Policy Schedule.

(i) Ambulatory Medical Centre means a licensed facility providing ambulatory surgical or medical treatment, other than a Hospital, clinic or Physician’s office.
Specific Exclusions to Section 2.1
We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any of the Insured Person under this Section:-
(i) any expenses incurred for medical treatment, drugs or medicines, prescribed or applied, before or after the Period of Insurance.
(ii) any expenses incurred in relation to traditional treatment or alternative treatment.
(iii) surgery or medical treatment which in the opinion of the Physician treating the Insured Person can be reasonably delayed unti l the
return of Insured Person to Malaysia.
(iv) any further expenses incurred by You if We wish to return the Insured Person to Malaysia but You or Insured Person refuses where
in the opinion of the treating Physician and Our Assistance Service Provider the Insured Person is fit to travel.
(iv) any treatment obtained in the Insured Person’s Home Country or country where the Insured Person having the Permanent Resident
(PR) status, unless specifically provided for under this Policy.
(v) if the Trip is undertaken against the advice of a Physician.
(vi) when the specific purpose of the Trip is to receive medical treatment or advice.
(vii) any Bodily Injury or Sickness that occurred before the commencement of the Trip.
2.2. Emergency Medical Evacuation
If during the Trip, the Insured Person suffers Critical Medical Condition and if in the opinion of Our Assistance Provider, i t is judged
medically appropriate to move the Insured Person to another location for medical treatment, or to return him/her usual place of residence
or employment in Malaysia, Our Assistance Provider shall arrange for the evacuation utilizing the means best suited to do so based on
the medical severity of Insured Person’s condition. We shall pay directly to Our Assistance Provider the Covered Expenses for such
evacuation up to the relevant Sum Insured specified in Your Policy Schedule.
The means of evacuation arranged by Our Assistance Provider may include air ambulance, surface ambulance, regular air
transportation, railroad or any other appropriate means. All decisions to the means of transportation and the final destination will be
made by Our Assistance Provider and will be based solely upon medically necessity.
Specific Conditions
Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the evacuation is required due to Serious
Bodily Injury.
Specific Definition
a. Critical Medical Condition means a medical condition suffered by the Insured Person as a result of Bodily Injury or Sickness,
which is determined to be life threatening by a Physician designated by Our Assistance Provider at the Physician’s absolute
discretion.
b. Covered Expenses means expenses for services provided and/or arranged by Our Assistance Provider for the transportation,
medical services and medical supplies necessarily incurred as a result of an emergency medical evacuation of Insured Person
as described herein.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any of the Insured Person under this Section
for:
a. Any expenses incurred for services provided by another party for which You or the Insured Person are/is not liable to pay, or any
expenses already included in the cost of a scheduled Trip.
b. Any expenses for a service not approved and arranged by Our Assistance Provider, except We reserved the right to waive this
exclusion in the event You, the Insured Person or his/her Travel Companion cannot for reasons beyond Your or their control
notify Our Assistance Provider during an emergency medical situation. In any event, We reserve the right to reimburse You or
the Insured Person only for those expenses incurred for services which Our Assistance Provider would have provided under the
same circumstances and up to the relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule.
c. Any expenses incurred if the Insured Person is not suffering from Critical Medical Condition or if the treatment can be reasonably
delayed his/her return to Malaysia.
d. Any expenses incurred for the evacuation of Insured Person from Malaysia to a foreign destination.
2.3. Repatriation Expenses
If during the Trip, the Insured Person suffers from a Critical Medical Condition (as defined in Section 2.2) and die as a result of such
Critical Medical Condition within thirty (30) days from the Date of Loss, Our Assistance Provider shall make the necessary arrangements
for the return of the mortal remains of Insured Person to his/her usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia. We shall pay
directly to Our Assistance Provider the Covered Expenses for such repatriation up to the relevant Sum Insured specified in Your Policy
Schedule.
In addition to the transportation of the mortal remains, We shall reimburse to the Insured Person’s estate expenses actually incurred, for services and supplies provided by the mortician or undertaker, including but not limited to the cost of the casket, the embalming and
cremation if so elected. This will not include expenses related to religious ceremony or rites and burial plots. All payments made by Us shall not exceed the maximum relevant Sum Insured specified in Your Policy Schedule.
Specific Conditions a. Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the repatriation of mortal remains
is required due to Accidental Death.
b. If applicable and if the cost of coffin is payable under the Section 2.4, this Section shall not be liable to pay any cost incurred for
the casket.

services and medical supplies necessarily incurred as a result of the repatriation of Insured Person’s mortal remains.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:
a. Any expenses incurred for services provided by another party for which You or the Insured Person is/are not liable to pay, or any
expenses already included in the cost of the Trip.
b. Any expenses incurred for the repatriation of the Insured Person’s mortal remains not approved and arranged by Our Assistance
Provider.
c. Any expenses incurred for the repatriation of Insured Person’s mortal remains from Malaysia to a foreign destination.
2.4. Reimbursement of Coffin Expenses
In the event that the body of Insured Person is being repatriated under Section 2.3 – Repatriation Expenses and the local regulations
require that such body must be transported in a coffin, We agree to reimburse for the coffin up to the relevant Sum Insured s tated in
Your Policy Schedule.
Specific Conditions
a. Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the death of Insured Person is
due to Bodily Injury.
b. If applicable and if the cost of casket is payable under the Section 2.3, this Section shall not be liable to pay any cost incurred for
the coffin.
2.5. Emergency Travel of Family Member
If during the Trip, the Insured Person sustains Serious Bodily Injury or Serious Sickness which results in his/her death or Hospitalisation
as it is judged by the treating Physician that it is not medically appropriate to move the Insured Person to another location or to return
the Insured Person to his/her usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia for medical treatment, provided no adult Immediate
Family Member or Travel Companion is present with the Insured Person at the time of death or Hospitalisation, We agree to pay for a
round trip economy travel ticket up to the maximum relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule, for an Immediate Family
Member or friend of Insured Person to:
a. to assist in the final arrangement following the Insured Person’s death; or
b. to take care of the Insured Person while he/she is hospitalized as a Resident In-Patient for more than five (5) days
This Benefit does not cover any other incidental expenses and/or charges that are incurred by the Immediate Family Member or friend,
such as but not limited to cost of other transport, upgrades, drinks, meals and optional/additional room services.
Specific Conditions
Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the Hospitalisation is r equired due to
Serious Bodily Injury.
2.6. Emergency Travel of Insured Person’s Children
If during the Trip, the Insured Person is hospitalised as a Resident In-Patient due to Bodily Injury or Sickness and there is no other
adult to accompany the Insured Person’s Child(ren) on their journey home, We agree to pay for a round trip economy travel ticket up
to the maximum relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule, for an Immediate Family Member or friend of Insured Person to
accompany Insure Person’s dependent Child(ren) back to his/her usual place of residence in Malaysia.
This Benefit does not cover any other incidental expenses and/or charges that are incurred by the Immediate Family Member or friend,
such as but not limited to cost of other transport, upgrades, drinks, meals and optional/additional room services.
Specific Conditions
Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the Hospitalisation is r equired due to
Bodily Injury.
2.7. Emergency Hotel Accommodation
If during the Trip, the Insured Person is hospitalised which resulting the Benefit under Section 2.5 or Section 2.6 becomes payable, We
agree to pay for the necessary and reasonable costs of the hotel accommodations expenses up to the maximum relevant Sum Insured
stated in the Policy Schedule, for an Immediate Family Member or friend of Insured Person to stay with him/her until the Insured Person
is medically fit to return to his/her usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia or to accompany Insured Person’s dependent
Child(ren) back to Malaysia, whichever is applicable.This Benefit is also extended to pay the necessary and reasonable hotel
accommodation of one Travel Companion who miss his/her scheduled return leg of a Return Trips back to Malaysia or his/her usual
place of residence in Malaysia (only if it is a Domestic travel), to take care of the Insured Person while he/she is hospital ised as a
Resident In-Patient for more than five (5) days.
Specific Conditions
Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the Hospitalisation is required due to
Bodily Injury.
2.8. Emergency Hotel Extension
If during the Trip, the Insured Person is hospitalised for more than five (5) days as a Resident In-Patient due to Bodily Injury or Sickness
and miss his/her scheduled return leg of a Return Trips back to his/her usual place of residence or employment in Malaysia, We agree
to pay for the necessary and reasonable costs of hotel accommodation up to the maximum relevant Sum Insured stated in the Policy
Schedule, until the next Common Carrier becomes available.
Specific Conditions
Notwithstanding, in respect of the Trip for Domestic travel, this Benefit will only be applicable if the Hospitalisation is r equired due to
Bodily Injury.

SECTION 3 – TRAVEL INCONVENIENCE BENEFITS
3.1. Loss of or Damage to Personal Property and Baggage
If during the Trip, the baggage, and/or Personal Effects owned by or in the custody of Insured Person are lost or damage resulting in
loss of use due to robbery, burglary, theft, or negligence of the common carrier, We will indemnify the Insured Person in respect of
such loss or damage up to the maximum relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule, subject to the following:
a. for loss or damage due to Common Carrier’s negligence, the baggage must be checked-in with the Common Carrier;
b. for loss of Jewellery, the Jewellery must be worn by the Insured Person at the time of loss and taken by force;
c. for loss of watches, furs, Laptop, electronic items including but not limited to hand-held mobile telephone, cameras (including
digital), video cameras, binoculars, it must be carried by the Insured Person at the time of loss; and
d. for loss including item c. as above stated, occurring in a hotel room, there must be physical evidence of break-in.
Specific Conditions
a. We will only pay the Insured Person up to maximum of:
(i) the Sub-Limit specified for any one article or a pair or a set of articles as specified in Your Policy Schedule;
(ii) the Sub-Limit specified for Laptop as specified in Your Policy Schedule.
b. Any valid claim involving a motor vehicle, and at all time subject to Specific Exclusions e. under this Section, will be limited to a
maximum of 50% of the Sum Insured stated in the Policy Schedule.
c. All claims will be subject to Us at Our discretion assessing the value of the claim based on the age and estimated wear and tear
of the article that forms the basis of the claim and at Our option replace or repair such articles.
d. If applicable and if payment has been made under the Section 3.6, any amounts paid would be deducted from payment of a claim
under this Section of the Policy.
e. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Definition
Unaccompanied Baggage means baggage sent separately as personal effect cargo and not as baggage accompanied by the Insured
Person.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. The loss must be reported to either the police or relevant authority having jurisdiction where the loss occurred within twenty-four
(24) hours of the discovery of such loss.
b. The loss or damage must be reported to the carrier in the event of loss or damage in transit within twenty-four (24) hours of the
discovery of such loss or damage.
c. A copy of the relevant carrier and/or police report must be submitted when a claim is made.
d. The carrier and/or police reports must be obtained in the area where the loss or damage occurred.
e. In the event of loss by a carrier, retain the original tickets and baggage slips and submit when a claim is made.
f. Original purchase receipts are required in the event of claims regarding goods purchased during the Trip.
g. Any item that comes in pairs or sets shall be regarded as one item.
h. In respect of Jewellery claims, original or certified copies of valuation certificates issued prior to the commencement of the Period
of Insurance must be submitted when a claim is made.
i. Bottles of perfume, aftershave, and make up shall together be regarded as one item.
j. The equipment and accessories of any sport that the Insured Person takes on a Trip shall be regarded as one item.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:
a. loss of or damage to Insured Person’s baggage and/or personal effects left unattended in any public place or as a result of
Insured Person’s failure to take due care and precautions for the safeguard and security of such property.
b. loss or damage caused by mechanical or electrical breakdown
c. loss or damage or derangement or breakage of fragile or brittle articles unless such breakage caused by fire or by accident to
the conveying vehicle.
d. loss or destruction or damage due to wear and tear, moth or vermin.
e. loss by theft from an unattended motor vehicle unless the property is securely locked in the boot and entry to such vehicle is
gained by visible, violent and forcible means.
f. loss of or damage to sports equipment whilst in use.
g. loss or destruction, or damage due to delay, confiscation or detention by order of any government or Public Authority.
h. loss or destruction or damage directly occasioned by pressure waves, caused by aircraft or other aerial devices travelling at sonic
or supersonic speeds.
i. loss or destruction or damage caused by any process of cleaning, dyeing, repairing or restoring.
j. loss or destruction, or damage caused by atmospheric or climatic conditions or any other gradually deteriorating cause or damage
sustained due to any process or while actually being worked upon or resulting there from.
k. loss or destruction or damage of baggage and/or personal effects sent under an airway-bill or bill of lading.
l. loss or damage due to defective materials or craftsmanship.
m. loss or damage of electronic items, Laptop or Jewellery that is checked-in with the Common Carrier.
n. loss of data recorded on tape(s), card(s), disc(s) or otherwise, including the cost of reproducing the data.
o. loss or damage that is not reported to either to the police or relevant authority having jurisdiction where the loss occurred within
twenty-four (24) hours of the discovery of such loss or damage.
p. loss or damage of property whilst in the custody of an airline or other Common Carrier, unless reported immediately on discovery
and, in the case of an airline, a Property Irregularity Report is obtained.
q. any unexplained loss or damage.

Property Not Covered
We will not pay for damage due to or loss of:-
a. cash, bank or currency note(s), voucher(s), casino chip(s), travel ticket(s) or document(s), cheque(s), postal or money order(s),
travellers cheque(s), securities of any kind, petrol, coupons, negotiable instrument(s), title deed(s), manuscripts(s), stamp(s),
stock(s) and bond(s);
b. business goods or samples/ prototypes or equipment of any kind or any products/components meant for trade;
c. external prosthetic appliances or devices which include but is not limited to artificial limbs, hearing aids, implanted pacemakers,
contact lenses, lenses, glasses, artificial teeth and dental bridges;
d. animals, insects, rodents;
e. motor vehicles, aircraft, bicycles and other conveyances or equipment or parts pertaining to such conveyances;
f. baggage, clothing, and Personal Effects despatched as Unaccompanied Baggage;
g. card(s), including but not limited to credit card(s), cash card(s), identity card, driving license;
h. contraband;
i. hired or leased equipment;
j. any consumable and/or perishable item(s);
k. computer accessories and/or application software;
l. musical instrument, household effect(s), antique(s), artifacts, painting(s), object(s) of art.
3.2. Loss of Money
If during the Trip, Cash owned by or in the custody of the Insured Person is lost arising out of robbery, burglary or theft, We will
reimburse the Insured Person the amount up to the relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule.
Specific Definitions
Cash shall mean any currency, postal money orders and travellers cheques purchased for specific use during the insured Trip.
Specific Conditions
If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other source,
or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the exc ess of the
amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. The loss must be reported to either the police or relevant authority having jurisdiction where the loss occurred within twenty-four
(24) hours of the discovery of such loss.
b. A copy of the relevant police report must be submitted when a claim is made.
c. The police reports must be obtained in the area where the loss occurred.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Cash that is not being carried by the Insured Person at the time of loss or is not deposited in a safety deposit box at the t ime of
loss or as a result of Insured Person’s failure to take care and precaution for the safeguard and security of the Cash;
b. for loss due to confiscation or detention by order of any government or public authority;
c. devaluation of currency or shortage due to errors or omissions during any transactions involving money;
d. for any loss that is not reported to either to the police or relevant authority having jurisdiction where the loss occurred within
twenty-four (24) hours of the discovery of such loss;
e. loss of postal money orders or traveller’s cheques not immediately reported to the local branch or agent of the issuing authority;
f. Any unexplained loss or damage;
g. Loss or damage due to animals, insects or rodents.
3.3. Loss of Credit Card
If during the Trip, the Insured Person sustains financial loss as a direct result of a credit, charge or bankers card owned by the Insured
Person, being lost or stolen and being subsequently used fraudulently by any person other than the Insured Person, We will reimburse
the Insured Person for such loss up to the Sum Insured stated in the Policy Schedule.
Specific Conditions
If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other source,
or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the excess of the
amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. The loss must be reported to either the police or relevant authority having jurisdiction where the loss occurred within twenty-four
(24) hours of the discovery of such loss.
b. A copy of the relevant police report must be submitted when a claim is made.
c. The police reports must be obtained in the area where the loss occurred.
d. The loss must be reported to the card company(s) within six (6) hours after the incident. Any claim must be accompanied by a
copy of the report issued by the card company(s) evidencing such loss.

directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. credit, charge or bankers card(s) is not being carried by the Insured Person at the time of loss or as a result of Insured Person’s
failure to take care and precaution for the safeguard and security of the credit, charge or bankers card(s);
b. for any loss that is not reported to either to the police or relevant authority having jurisdiction where the loss occurred within
twenty-four (24) hours of the discovery of such loss;
c. for any loss that is not reported to the card company(s) within six (6) hours after the incident.

3.4. Loss of Travel Documents
If during the Trip, the Insured Person sustains loss of or damage to his/her Travel Documents due to robbery, burglary or theft, We will
reimburse the Insured Person in respect of:-
a. the replacement cost of such lost Travel Documents;
b. the additional and reasonable travel expenses and hotel accommodation expenses incurred, which becomes necessary due to
the Insured Person not being able to continue his/her Trip without such lost Travel Documents;
up to the relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule.
Specific Conditions
a. If the loss of Travel Documents referred to above is the travel ticket(s), We will only reimburse the Insured Person in respect of
the administrative charges incurred to replace such lost travel ticket(s).
b. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Definitions
Travel Documents means passport, visa, travel ticket and identity card (IC).
Specific Claims Provisions
a. The loss must be reported to either the police or relevant authority having jurisdiction where the loss occurred within twenty-four
(24) hours of the discovery of such loss.
b. A copy of the relevant police report must be submitted when a claim is made.
c. The police reports must be obtained in the area where the loss occurred.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. loss or damage to Travel Documents left unattended in a public place or as a result of Insured Person’s failure to take care and
precaution for the safeguard and security of the Travel Documents;
b. loss or damage to Travel Documents in Insured Person’s suit or jacket, which are left unattended in a public place or while in
transit outside Insured Person’s control;
c. loss or damage to Travel Documents whilst in custody of an airline or other Common Carrier, unless reported immediately on
discovery and in the case of an airline, a property irregularity report obtained;
d. Any unexplained loss or damage;
e. Loss or damage due to animals, insects or rodents.
3.5. Loss of Travel Deposit
In the event that the Insured Person’s Trip are being cancelled due to Insolvency or abscondment of the Travel Agent in Malaysia whom
the Insured Person has purchased the tour package from, We shall reimburse the loss of irrecoverable travel deposits or travel fares
paid by the Insured Person in advance up to the relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule.
Specific Conditions
a. Our liability in respect of Loss of Travel Deposit whilst the Trips of a group of Insured Persons were booked with the same Travel
Agent, directly or indirectly or via other Travel Agent shall be limited to a maximum of RM 3,000,000 only in any one insolvency
or abscondment. In the event the aggregate or such travel deposits exceeds the said amount, We shall settle the claims to the
Insured Persons on a proportionate basis.
b. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Definitions
a. Insolvency means the inability of an individual or entity to pay its debts when they are due and resulting in the total cessation with
or without the filling of a bankruptcy/winding out the petition.
b. Abscondment means the act of running away due to failure of fulfilling the business or financial contractual obligations and/or to
avoid arrest.
c. Travel Agent means a travel agent with a valid license and registered with Ministry of Tourism Malaysia.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. any regulation, act or prohibition made by any government or public authority’
b. if it is covered by any other existing insurance scheme or government program;
c. if the deposits which will be refunded by a hotel, airline, industry compensation scheme, Travel Agent or any other travel services
or accommodation;
d. if the Insolvency which occurred or for which a bankruptcy was filed prior to the date on which the insured Trip was booked;
e. if this insurance is not purchased on the same date or prior to the date of registration or date of full payment of the insured Trip.
3.6. Baggage Delay
If during the Trip, the checked-in baggage accompanying the Insured Person has been delayed, misdirected or temporarily misplaced
by the air Common Carrier and is not delivered to the Insured Person within six (6) hours of his/her arrival at the airport of the scheduled
Destination, We will pay the Insured Person Ringgit Malaysia two hundred (RM200) for every full six (6) consecutive hours of delay up
to the maximum relevant Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule.
The amount per six (6) hours specified under this Section in Your Policy Schedule is based on each Insured Person and not on each
piece of baggage.

The period of delay shall be calculated from the time of arrival at the airport until the receipt or delivery of baggage to the Insured
Person or a person authorized by the Insured Person to receive the baggage.
Special Conditions
a. The baggage must have been checked in as registered baggage by the air Common Carrier for any benefit to be payable under
this Section.
b. If upon further investigation it is later determined that the baggage has been lost, any amount claimed and paid to the Insured
Person under this Section will be deducted from any payment under the Section 3.1.
c. The Insured Person shall exercise all reasonable measures and precautions for the safety of, and recovery of, any property
insured hereunder. Notification of any apparent delay to baggage must be made immediately to the air Common Carrier
concerned.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. All claims must be submitted in writing to Us and all information, documents, and evidence required by Us shall be furnished at
no expense to Us and shall be in such form and of such nature as We may prescribe. All claims must be reported to Us within
thirty (30) days of a delay occurring, and must contain:
(i) the policy number.
(ii) detailed circumstances of the delay.
(iii) any proof of the delay and the flight number and place where the delay occurred.
b. The delay must be reported to the operator of air Common Carrier immediately.
c. The delay must be verified in writing by the operator(s) of the Common Carrier or their handling agent(s) as well as the number
of hours delayed and the reason for the delay.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:
a. chartered flights, unless such flights are registered in the International Data System.
b. confiscation of baggage by customs or any government authority.
c. if the baggage delay happens at the Trip back to the Insured Person’s usual place of residence.
d. baggage and/or personal effects sent under an airway-bill or bill of lading.
e. delays due to a strike or industrial action existing or announced before the start of the Trip.
f. delays due to withdrawal of aircraft from service by any civil aviation authority of which notice had been given before the s tart of
the Trip.
g. any delay happens at the return leg of Return Trips.
3.7. Trip Cancellation
We will reimburse the Insured Person in respect of Cancellation Expenses or Postponement Expenses up to the maximum relevant
Sum Insured stated in Your Policy Schedule if during the Insured Person’s coverage under this Policy, the Insured Person is forced to
cancel or postpone his/her scheduled Trip caused by:-
a. Death of Insured Person;
b. Serious Injury or Serious Sickness of the Insured Person, which in the opinion of a Physician the Insured Person is unfit to travel
on the Scheduled Departure Date;
c. Unexpected death or Serious Injury or Serious Sickness of the Insured Person’s Immediate Family Member or Travel Companion;
d. The Insured Person’s usual place of residence or business in Malaysia being rendered uninhabitable as a result of accidental
damage or the Insured Person’s presence being required by the Police following fire, storm or flood, burglary or attempt thereat
at the Insured Person’s usual place of residence or business;
e. Cancellation of the scheduled Common Carrier services consequent upon strike, riot, civil commotion, hijacking, flood, adverse
weather conditions or natural disasters;
f. Compulsory quarantine, jury service or service of a subpoena involving the Insured Person;
g. Natural disasters at the Destination country which prevent the Insured Person from commencing the Trip.
Whereby, in context of cancellation of a Trip:-
(i) for paragraph b., the event mentioned must occur within sixty (60) days before the Scheduled Departure Date;
(ii) for paragraphs c., the respective events mentioned must occur within thirty (30) days before the Scheduled Departure
Date;
(iii) for paragraphs d., e. and f., the respective events mentioned must occur within fourteen (14) days before the Scheduled
Departure Date and must be accompanied with travel advice, requisite proof or report from relevant authority(s).
Whereby, in the context of postponement of a Trip:-
(i) for paragraphs b., c., the event mentioned must occur within thirty (30) days before the Scheduled Departure Date;
(ii) for paragraphs d., e. and f., the event mentioned must occur within seven (7) days before the Scheduled Departure Date
and must be accompanied with travel advice, requisite proof or report from relevant authority(s).
Specific Conditions
a. You or the Insured Person can only claim under either Cancellation Expenses or Postponement Expenses, for any one event.
b. This coverage is effective only if You purchased this Policy before You or the Insured Person become aware of any
circumstances, which could lead to the disruption of the planned Trip.
c. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Definitions
a. Cancellation Expenses means loss of deposits, or charges for advance payments for travel or accommodation or other charges
which have not been or will not be used, but which become forfeited or payable under contract, as a result of the cancellation of
the Insured Person’s Trip.
b. Postponement Expenses mean the resulting administrative charges incurred to postpone the Insured Person’s Trip:

(i) which full payment was made by the Insured Person;
(ii) for which the Insured Person is legally liable for; and
(iii) which are not recoverable from any other source.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. The default of any:
(i) provider of transport; or
(ii) agent of such provider; or
(iii) agent acting for the Insured Person.
b. Any regulation, act or prohibition made by any government or public authority;
c. Strikes or labour disputes which existed or of which advance warning had been given prior to the date on which the insured Tr ip
was booked;
d. Withdrawal from service temporarily or permanently of any Common Carrier on the orders or recommendations of any Port
Authority or Aviation Agency or any similar body in any country;
e. Changes in plans by the Insured Person or his/her Immediate Family Member or Travel Companion for any reason;
f. Financial circumstances of the Insured Person or his/her Immediate Family Member or Travel Companion;
g. Pre-existing medical condition of the Insured Person or his/her Immediate Family Member or Travel Companion;
h. Any business, financial or contractual obligations of the Insured Person or his/her Immediate Family Member or Travel
Companion;
i. Any loss that is covered by any other existing insurance scheme, government programme or which will be paid or refunded by a
hotel, carrier or travel agent or any other provider of travel and/or accommodation;
j. Carrier caused cancellation unless they are the result of matters stated in paragraph e) under Section 3.7 above;
k. Travel arrangements cancelled by an airline, cruise line or tour operator unless the cancellation is the result of matters stated in
paragraph e. under Section 3.7 above;
l. An event or circumstance which occurs prior to the date of issue of the Policy Schedule or date of purchasing or making
arrangements for the Trip;
m. Delay or amendment of the booked itinerary, or failure in provision of any part of the booked Trip (including error, omission or
default) by the provider of any service forming part of the booked Trip as well as of the agent or tour operator through whom the
Trip was booked;
n. The Insured Person on whom the Trip is dependent on being involved in any unlawful act or criminal proceedings, unless the
Insured Person’s attendance in court in such criminal proceedings in a court of law is required under a subpoena;
o. Insured Person’s failure to notify travel agent/tour operator or provider of transport or accommodation immediately upon find ing
it necessary to cancel the travel arrangements;
p. Any loss or compensation for any air miles, frequent flyer points, or holiday points the Insured Person earned or used to pay for
the Trip in part or in full.
3.8. Trip Curtailment
If during the Trip, the Insured Person is forced to Curtail any part of the Trip as a direct and necessary result of any of the following
reasons, We will reimburse the Insured Person in respect of Curtailment Expenses incurred up to the relevant Sum Insured stated in
Your Policy Schedule.
a. The Insured Person is suffering Serious Bodily Injury or Serious Sickness and upon obtaining medical advice of a Physician
during the Trip. A medical certificate must be obtained from the Physician who is treating the Insured Person, advising him/her
to return to Malaysia due to the Serious Bodily Injury or Serious Sickness;
b. Unexpected death or Serious Bodily Injury or Serious Sickness of the Insured Person’s Immediate Family Member or Travelling
Companion;
c. The Insured Person’s usual place of residence in Malaysia becoming uninhabitable following fire, storm, or flood occurring such
that the Insured Person’s presence is required on the premises;
d. Cancellation of scheduled Common Carrier services consequent upon the unexpected outbreak of strike, riot or civil commotion
at the scheduled Destination’
e. Hijacking of the aircraft in which the Insured Person is on board as a passenger;
f. Natural disasters or adverse weather conditions which prevent the Insured Person from continuing with his/her scheduled Trip.
Whereby, in the context of Curtailment of a Trip, the event mentioned in a. to f. above must occur after the Insured Person has
commenced the Trip.
Specific Conditions
a. If the Curtailment Expenses claim relates to travel tickets, the reimbursement will only be on the unused sector of the travel
tickets.
b. For hijack, proportional return of the irrecoverable prepaid cost shall be calculated from the date of occurrence to the expiry of
the scheduled Trip or Policy cover whichever is earlier.
c. This coverage is effective only if You purchased this Policy before You become aware of any circumstances, which could lead to
the disruption of the planned Journey.
d. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
e. You can only claim under either this benefit or Benefit 3.9 for any one Trip.
Specific Definitions a. Curtailment or Curtail means cutting short the Trip by early return to the usual place of residence or business in Malaysia after
arrival at the planned Destination as shown on the booking invoice or ticket.
b. Curtailment Expenses means:
i) loss of deposits, advance payments for accommodation or other charges (excluding cost of the original travel ticket for
returning to Malaysia), which have not been and will not be used but become forfeited or payable under contract;

ii) any additional administrative expenses incurred where it is possible to amend the original travel ticket; or
iii) additional travel (limited to economy class fare) expenses if it is not possible to amend the original travel ticket as
confirmed by the Common Carrier/travel operator and reasonable accommodation expenses resulting from the reasons
mentioned above.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. The default of any:-
(i) provider of transport; or
(ii) agent of such provider; or
(iii) agent acting for the Insured Person
b. Any regulation, act or prohibition made by any government or public authority;
c. Strikes or labour disputes which existed or of which advance warning had been given prior to the date on which the Trip was
booked;

g. Pre-existing medical condition of an Immediate Family Member or Travel Companion;
h. Any business, financial or contractual obligations of the Insured Person or his/her Immediate Family Member or Travel
Companion;
i. Any loss that is covered by any other existing insurance scheme, government programme or which will be paid or refunded by a
hotel, carrier or travel agent or any other provider of travel and/or accommodation;
j. Carrier caused cancellation unless they are the result of matters stated in paragraph d) under Section 3.8 above;
k. Travel arrangements cancelled by an airline, cruise line or tour operator unless the cancellation is the result of matters stated in
paragraph d) under Section 3.8 above;
l. An event or circumstance which occurs prior to the date of issue of the Policy Schedule or date of purchasing or making
arrangements for the Trip;
m. Delay or amendment of the booked itinerary, or failure in provision of any part of the booked Trip (including error, omission or
default) by the provider of any service forming part of the booked Trip as well as of the agent or tour operator through whom the
Trip was booked;
n. The Insured Person on whom the Trip is dependent on being involved in any unlawful act or criminal proceedings, unless the
Insured Person’s attendance in court in such criminal proceedings in a court of law is required under a subpoena;
o. Insured Person’s failure to notify travel agent/tour operator or provider of transport or accommodation immediately upon find ing
it necessary to cancel or curtail the travel arrangements;
p. Any loss or compensation for any air miles, frequent flyer points, or holiday points the Insured Person earned or used to pay for
the Trip in part or in full.
3.9. Trip Disruption
If during the Trip, the Insured Person’s Trip is forced to be Disrupted as a direct and necessary resul t of any of the following reasons,
We will reimburse the Insured Person in respect of the Disruption Expenses incurred up to the maximum relevant Sum Insured specified
in Your Policy Schedule:-
a. Natural disasters;
b. Epidemic or pandemic as declared by the World Health Organization;
c. Cancellation of scheduled Common Carrier services consequent upon the unexpected outbreak of strike, riot or civil commotion
at the scheduled Destination
d. Major industrial accident;
e. Any event leading to airspace or multiple airport closures.
Whereby, in the context of Travel Disruption, the event mentioned in a. to e. above must occur after the Insured Person has commenced
the Trip.
Specific Conditions
a. This coverage is effective only if You purchased this Policy before You or the Insured Person becomes aware of any
circumstances, which could lead to the Disruption of the planned Journey.
b. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
c. You can only claim under either this benefit or Benefit 3.8 for any one Trip.
Specific Definitions
a. Disrupted means interruption to the Trip by skipping a part of the planned Trip, as shown on the travel itinerary.
b. Disruption Expenses means loss of advance payments for accommodation, Entertainment Tickets, or prearranged tours at the
scheduled Destination, which have not been and will not be used but become forfeited or payable under contract.
c. Entertainment Tickets mean tickets granting admission to theme parks, musicals, plays, theatre, or drama performances,
concerts, and sporting events.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following: -
a. The default of any:
(i) provider of transport; or
(ii) agent of such provider; or
(iii) agent acting for the Insured Person
b. Any regulation, act or prohibition made by any government or public authority;

c. Strikes or labour disputes which existed or of which advance warning had been given prior to the date on which the Trip was
booked;
d. Withdrawal from service temporarily or permanently of any Common Carrier on the orders or recommendations of any Port
Authority or Aviation Agency or any similar body in any country;
e. Changes in plans by the Insured Person or his/her Immediate Family Member or Travel Companion for any reason;
f. Financial circumstances of the Insured Person or his/her Immediate Family Member or Travel Companion;
g. Pre-existing medical condition of an Immediate Family Member or Travel Companion;
h. Any business, financial or contractual obligations of the Insured Person or his/her Immediate Family Member or Travel
Companion;
i. Any loss that is covered by any other existing insurance scheme, government programme or which will be paid or refunded by a
hotel, carrier or travel agent or any other provider of travel and/or accommodation;
j. Carrier caused cancellation unless they are the result of matters stated in paragraph c) under Section 3.9 above;
k. Travel arrangements cancelled by an airline, cruise line or tour operator unless the cancellation is the result of matters stated in
paragraph c) under Section 3.9 above;
l. An event or circumstance which occurs prior to the date of issue of the Policy Schedule or date of purchasing or making
arrangements for the Trip;
m. Delay or amendment of the booked itinerary, or failure in provision of any part of the booked Trip (including error, omission, or
default) by the provider of any service forming part of the booked Journey as well as of the agent or tour operator through whom
the Trip was booked;
n. The Insured Person on whom the Trip is dependent on being involved in any unlawful act or criminal proceedings, unless the
Insured Person’s attendance in court in such criminal proceedings in a court of law is required under a subpoena;
o. The Insured Person’s failure to notify travel agent/tour operator or provider of transport or accommodation immediately upon
finding it necessary to change or skip a part of his/her travel arrangement;
p. Any loss or compensation for any air miles, frequent flyer points, or holiday points the Insured Person earned or used to pay for
the Trip in part or in full.
3.10. Travel Delay
If during the Trip, the departure of the Common Carrier in which the Insured Person had arranged to travel is delayed for at least six
(6) consecutive hours at any single Destination from the Scheduled Departure Time specified in the itinerary supplied to him/her due
to:-
a. Strike or industrial action;
b. Adverse weather conditions;
c. Mechanical breakdown/derangement of the Common Carrier;
d. Grounding of the Common Carrier as a result of mechanical or structural defect;
e. Natural disasters;
f. Any events leading to airspace restriction or airport closure.
We will pay the Insured Person Ringgit Malaysia two hundred (RM200) for every full six (6) consecutive hours of delay, up to the
maximum relevant Sum Insured specified in Your Policy Schedule.
The period of delay shall be calculated from the original Scheduled Departure Time as stated in the Insured Person’s ticket or travel itinerary to the departure of the next available Common Carrier, chartered flight or any other alternative means of transportation, whichever is earlier.
Specific Conditions
This coverage is effective only if You purchased this Policy before You or the Insured Person becomes aware of any circumstances,
which could lead to the disruption of the scheduled Trip.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. All claims must be submitted in writing to Us and all information, documents, and evidence required by Us shall be furnished at
no expense to Us and shall be in such form and of such nature as We may prescribe. All claims must be reported to Us within
thirty (30) days of a delay occurring, and must contain:-
(i) the policy number
(ii) detailed circumstances of the delay
(iii) any proof of the delay and the flight number and place where the delay occurred.
b. The delay must be verified in writing by the operator(s) of the Common Carrier or their handling agent(s) as well as the number
of hours delayed and the reason for the delay.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Any travel insurance purchased within six (6) hours from the original Scheduled Departure Time as stated in the Insured Person’s
ticket or travel itinerary;
b. Any delay which is arising from or as the result of a chartered flight, unless such flight is registered in the international data
system;
c. If comparable alternative transport has been made available within six (6) hours after the Scheduled Departure Time;
d. Insured Person’s failure to check-in according to the itinerary supplied to him/her;
e. Strike or industrial action existing or announced before/on the date You applied for cover under this Policy;
f. Strike or industrial action existing or announced before/on the date the Insured Person’s Trip is arranged;
g. The Insured Person’s late arrival at the airport or port after check-in or boarding time (except if the late arrival is due to Strike or
industrial action);
h. Failure of public transport services arising from Strike or industrial action which commenced or was announced before the
commencement of the Trip;

i. Any delay which You or the Insured Person has been made aware of twenty-four (24) hours prior to the original Scheduled
Departure Time stated in the Insured Person’s ticket or travel itinerary;
j. Any delay which is due to withdrawal of aircraft from service by any civil aviation authority of which notice had been given before
the commencement of the Trip.
3.11. Travel Re-Route
If during the Trip, the Common Carrier in which the Insured Person had arranged to travel is re-routed and the Insured Person’s arrival
at the scheduled Destination has been delayed for at least six (6) consecutive hours from the time specified in the ticket or itinerary
supplied to him/her due to adverse weather conditions or mechanical breakdown, We will pay the Insured Person ringgit Malaysia two
hundred (RM200) for every full six (6) consecutive hours of delay due to the diversion, up to the maximum relevant Sum Insured
specified in Your Policy Schedule.
The period of delay shall be calculated from the original scheduled arrival time as stated in the Insured Person’s ticket or travel itinerary
to the actual arrival time at the scheduled Destination.
Specific Conditions
a. This coverage is effective only if You purchased this Policy before You or the Insured Person becomes aware of any
circumstances, which could lead to the disruption of the scheduled Trip.
b. This Benefit is payable only once for each Trip.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. All claims must be submitted in writing to Us and all information, documents, and evidence required by Us shall be furnished at
no expense to Us and shall be in such form and of such nature as We may prescribe. All claims must be reported to Us within
thirty (30) days of a delay occurring, and must contain:-
(i) the policy number
(ii) detailed circumstances of the delay
(iii) any proof of the delay and the flight number and place where the delay occurred.
b. The delay must be verified in writing by the operator(s) of the Common Carrier or their handling agent(s) as well as the number
of hours delayed and the reason for the delay.

In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Any travel insurance purchased within six (6) hours from the original Scheduled Departure Time as stated in the Insured Person’s
ticket or travel itinerary;
b. Any delay which is arising from or as the result of a chartered flight, unless such flight is registered in the International Data
System;
c. If comparable alternative transport has been made available within six (6) hours after the Scheduled Departure Time.
3.12. Travel Overbooked
If during the Trip, the Insured Person has a confirmed booking seat and is denied boarding on a Common Carrier which the Insured
Person is booked on due to over-booking and no alternative Common Carrier is made available to him/her within six (6) hours of the
Scheduled Departure Time as specified in his/her printed itinerary, We will pay the Insured Person ringgit Malaysia two hundred
(RM200) for every full six (6) consecutive hours of delay, up to the maximum relevant Sum Insured specified in Your Policy Schedule.
The period of delay shall be calculated from the Scheduled Departure Time to the actual departure of the next available Common
Carrier or any alternative means of transportation, whichever is earlier.
Specific Conditions
a. This coverage is effective only if You purchased this Policy before You or the Insured Person becomes aware of any
circumstances, which could lead to the disruption of the scheduled Trip.
b. This Benefit is payable only once for each Trip.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. All claims must be submitted in writing to Us and all information, documents, and evidence required by Us shall be furnished at
no expense to Us and shall be in such form and of such nature as We may prescribe. All claims must be reported to Us within
thirty (30) days of a delay occurring, and must contain:-
(i) the policy number
(ii) detailed circumstances of the delay
(iii) any proof of the delay and the flight number and place where the delay occurred.
b. The travel overbooked details must be verified in writing by the operator(s) of the Common Carrier or their handling agent(s).
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Any travel insurance purchased within six (6) hours from the original Scheduled Departure Time as stated in the Insured Person’s
ticket or travel itinerary;
b. The Trip was arranged through an unlicensed travel agent;
c. If comparable alternative transport has been made available within six (6) hours after the Scheduled Departure Time;
d. Any delay which You or the Insured Person has been made aware of twenty-four (24) hours prior to the original Scheduled
Departure Time stated in the Insured Person’s ticket or travel itinerary.
3.13. Missed Departure
If during a Return Trip, the Insured Person missed his/her departure of the return leg at a scheduled Destination as a result of
mechanical breakdown of public transport services (any licensed bus or taxi or a scheduled service which any member of public can
join at a recognized stop as a fare-paying passenger) which fails to get the Insured Person to the departure port, airport or train station
as stated in the Insured Person’s ticket, We will reimburse the Insured Person for additional accommodation and travel expenses

necessarily and reasonably incurred before the next available Common Carrier or any alternative means of transportation, up to the
relevant Sum Insured specified in Your Policy Schedule.
Specific Conditions
a. This coverage is effective only if You purchased this Policy before You or the Insured Person becomes aware of any
circumstances, which could lead to the disruption of the scheduled Trip.
b. This Benefit is payable only once for each Trip.
c. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. All claims must be submitted in writing to Us and all information, documents, and evidence required by Us shall be furnished at
no expense to Us and shall be in such form and of such nature as We may prescribe. All claims must be reported to Us within

b. The mechanical breakdown details must be verified in writing by the operator(s) of the public transport services or their handling
agent(s).

In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Any travel insurance purchased within six (6) hours from the original Scheduled Departure Time as stated in the Insured Person’s
ticket or travel itinerary;
b. If comparable alternative transport has been made available within six (6) hours after the Scheduled Departure Time;
c. Insured Person’s failure, other than due to mechanical breakdown of the public transport services, to check in according to the
itinerary supplied to him/her;
d. Insured Person’s late arrival at the airport or port or train station after check-in or boarding time (except if the late arrival is due
to mechanical breakdown of the public transport services).
3.14. Travel Misconnection
If during the Trip, the Insured Person’s confirmed onward scheduled travel connection is missed at the transfer point due to the late
arrival of his/her incoming confirmed scheduled Common Carrier and no onward transportation is available to the Insured Person within
six (6) consecutive hours of his/her actual arrival time, We will pay to the Insured Person ringgit Malaysia two hundred (RM200) for
every full six (6) consecutive hours of misconnection, up to the maximum relevant Sum Insured specified in Your Policy Schedule.
The period of misconnection being calculated from the Insured Person’s actual arrival time at the transfer point to the actual departure
time.
Specific Conditions
a. This coverage is effective only if You purchased this Policy before You or the Insured Person becomes aware of any
circumstances, which could lead to the disruption of the scheduled Trip.
b. This Benefit is payable only once for each Trip.
Specific Claims Provisions
a. All claims must be submitted in writing to Us and all information, documents, and evidence required by Us shall be furnished at
no expense to Us and shall be in such form and of such nature as We may prescribe. All claims must be reported to Us within
thirty (30) days of a delay occurring, and must contain:-
(i) the policy number
(ii) detailed circumstances of the delay
(iii) any proof of the delay and the flight number and place where the delay occurred.
b. The travel misconnection details must be confirmed in writing by the operator(s) of the Common Carrier or their handling agent(s),
with the scheduled and actual time of arrival and the scheduled and actual departure time of the next available Common Carrier.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Any travel insurance purchased within six (6) hours from the original Scheduled Departure Time as stated in the Insured Person’s
ticket or travel itinerary;
b. If comparable alternative transport has been made available within six (6) hours after the Scheduled Departure Time;
c. This benefit shall not be payable if the travel misconnection is arising from or as a result of the delay which being insured and
payable under Benefits 3.10, 3.11, 3.12 or 3.13.
3.15. Hijacking
If during the Trip, the Insured Person is a victim of a Hijack of a Common Carrier on which he/she is traveling and the Hijack lasts for a
period of at least twenty-four (24) hours, We will pay the Insured Person Ringgit Malaysia two hundreds (RM200) for every twenty-four
(24) consecutive hours up to the Sum Insured stated in the Policy Schedule.
Specific Definitions
Hijack means the unlawful seizure or wrongful exercise of control of a Common Carrier, or the crew thereof.
Specific Claims Provisions
Any claims under this section must be accompanied by a police report or a report issued by the Common Carrier confirming that the
Insured Person was a victim of Hijack and the duration of such Hijack.

SECTION 4 – OTHER BENEFITS
4.1. Personal Liability
If during the Trip, the Insured Person is held to be legally liable to a third party for:-
a. death or Accidental Bodily Injury; and/or
b. Property Damage
that occurred during the Trip, We will reimburse up to the maximum Sum Insured specified in the Policy Schedule for:-
a. the amount that the Insured Person is held liable for to the third party; and/or
b. the cost and expenses incurred on the defense of the claim subject to Our written approval and consent;
provided always that the Insured Person must not:
a. make or attempt to make any offer of settlement;
b. promise of payment;
c. admit liability to any party; and/or
d. become involved in any litigation without our prior written approval.
Specific Conditions
a. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
b. No admission, offer, promise, payment or indemnity shall be made without Our written consent and We shall be entitled to take
over and conduct in Your or Insured Person’s name the defense or settlement of any claim or to prosecute in Your or Insured
Person’s name for Our own benefit any claim for indemnity or damages or otherwise and shall have full discretion in the conduct
of any proceedings and in the settlement of any claim and You and Insured Person hereby agree to give all information and
assistance as We may require. Every letter, claim, writ, summons and process shall be forwarded to Us upon receipt. Written
notice shall also be given to Us immediately upon You or the Insured Person receiving notice of any prosecution or inquest in
connection with any circumstances which may give rise to liability under this coverage.
c. We may at Our sole discretion at any time pay to You or the Insured Person in connection with any claim or series of claims the
limit of indemnity (after the deduction of any sum(s) already paid as compensation) or any lesser amount for which such claim(s) can be settled and upon such payment being made We shall relinquish the conduct and control of and be under no further liability in connection with such claim(s) except for the payment of costs and expenses recoverable or incurred prior to the date of such
payment.
Specific Definitions Property Damage means any physical damage to, destruction of, or loss of use of tangible property. Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Liability arising out of or relating to the willful, malicious or unlawful act or omission on the part of the Insured Person;
b. Liability arising out of or in connection with a business engaged in by You. This exclusion applies but is not limited to an act or
omission, regardless of its nature or circumstance, involving a service or duty rendered, promised, owed, or implied to be provided
because of the nature of the business;
c. Liability arising out of the rental or holding for rental of any part of any premises by You;
d. Liability arising out of the rendering of or failure to render professional services;
e. Liability arising out of a premises, water craft or aircraft that is owned by, rented to or rented by You;
f. Liability arising out of the ownership, maintenance, possession or use of, loading or unloading of motor vehicles, all other
motorised land conveyances, water craft, aircraft, firearms or animals, or arising from the negligent supervision and vicarious
liability for the acts of a minor in connection with the above;
g. Liability arising out of the transmission of a communicable disease by the Insured Person;
h. Liability arising out of sexual molestation, corporal punishment, or physical or mental abuse;
i. Liability arising out of the use, sale, manufacture, delivery, transfer or possession by any person of a controlled substance or
contraband as defined by the appropriate authority;
j. Liability under any contract or agreement;
k. Property Damage to property owned by the Insured Person;
l. Property Damage to property rented to, occupied or used by, held in trust by the Insured Person or in the custody or care of the
Insured Person;
m. In respect of death, Bodily injury suffered by any person who is under a contract of service or apprenticeship with You or the
Insured Person when such Bodily Injury arises out of and in the course of his/her employment by You or the Insured Person.
n. Suits arising from any Immediate Family Member against You;
o. In respect of death, Bodily injury suffered by any family member of Insured Person or any person with whom the Insured Person
resides;
p. Loss of or Property Damage to the property of or to any person who is the Insured Person’s Family Member, relative or employee
or deemed by law to be his/her employee;
q. Any criminal proceedings taken against You whether You are actually convicted or not;
r. Pollution which includes the alleged or potential introduction of substance which makes the environment impure or harmful.
s. The influence of intoxicants;
t. Riding or driving in races or rallies.
4.2. Legal Expenses
If during the Trip, the Insured Person is arrested or is in danger of being arrested as the result of an automobile Accident, We agree to
pay for any legal expenses up to the Total Sum Insured stated in the Policy Schedule.
Specific Conditions
If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other source,
or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the excess of the

4.3. Rental Car Excess
If during the Trip, the Insured Person becomes legally liable to pay for any excess or deductible under a rental contract as a result of
loss or damage to the rented car caused by an Accident during the rental period, We will reimburse the Insured Person for such excess
or deductible.
Specific Conditions
a. The car must be rented from a licensed rental agency.
b. The Insured Person must take up a comprehensive motor insurance against any loss or damage to the rented car during the
rental period.
c. The Insured Person must comply with all requirements of the rental agency under the rental agreement and of the insurer under
the motor insurance policy of the rented car, as well as the laws, rules and regulations of the country of visit.
d. The car must be rented and driven by the Insured Person who holds a valid license(s) to drive the rented car at the country of
visit.
e. If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section which is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Loss or damage arising from failure of the Insured Person to observe any of the conditions listed in this Section;
b. Loss or damage arising from wear and tear, gradual deterioration, damage from insects or vermin, inherent vice, latent defect or
damage;
c. The Insured Person was during the Period of Insurance, disqualified by any order from any Court of Law or prohibited from renting
and/or driving by reason of any law, enactment, rule or regulation of the country of visit;
d. Loss or damage not due to an Accident involving the rented car.
4.4. Home Guard
If the Insured Person’s place of residence in Malaysia is left vacant while he/she is on a Trip and suffers physical loss or damage to
his/her Household Contents and/or Personal Valuables belonging to him/her or individuals who reside permanently with the Insured
Person due to fire or burglary, We will, by payment or Our option by reinstatement or repair, indemnify the Insured Person up to the
Sum Insured stated in the Policy Schedule.
Specific Conditions
a. For any loss or damage covered under this benefit, We shall be entitled at Our sole discretion to repair, reinstate, or replace the
Household Contents and/or Personal Valuables lost or damaged as the case may be.
b. In the event of loss or damage to any property insured forming part of a pair or set, Our liability shall not exceed a proportionate
part of the value on the pair or set. We shall not be liable for more than RM1,000 in respect of any one article or pair or set of
articles.
c. In no event, will We pay for more than the replacement cost of the covered Household Content and/or Personal Valuables.
d. If there is any other insurance effected by or on behalf of You or the Insured Person insuring the same events insured within this
Section or if You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any
other source, We will only be liable for the excess of the amount recoverable from such other insurance or source.
Specific Definitions
a. Home Contents means household furniture and furnishing, clothing and personal effects belonging to the Insured Person or to
the members of his/her family or domestic servant(s) who is/are permanently residing with the Insured Person and fixtures and
fittings the Insured Person owns (or for which the Insured Person is responsible) not being landlord’s fixtures and fittings exclud ing
all items of Personal Valuables, deeds, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes, cheques, travellers’ cheques, securities for
money, documents of any kind, cash, bank and currency notes.
b. Personal Valuables means platinum/gold/silver articles, Jewellery, furs, watches and precious or semi-precious gemstones, PDA,
mobile phone and Laptop.
Specific Claims Provisions
The Insured Person must provide a police report to evidence the occurrence that indicates the incident happened within the Period of
Insurance in order for Us to pay the claim; unless the Insured Person is legally incapable of doing so.
Specific Exclusions
In addition to the General Exclusions, We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of any claim under this Section whic h is
directly or indirectly caused by any of the following:-
a. Wear, tear, depreciation, the process of cleaning, dyeing, repairing or restoring any article, the action of light or atmospheric
conditions, moth, insects, vermin or any other gradually operating cause;
b. Any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from, in respect of, or due to the Insured Person’s willful act and/or with his/her
connivance;
c. Loss (whether temporary or permanent) of the Insured Person’s property or any part thereof by reason of confiscation, requisition,
detention or legal or illegal occupation of such property or of any premises, vehicle or thing containing the same by any
government authorities;
d. Electrical or mechanical breakdown;
e. Consequential loss or damage of any kind;
f. Stocks and/or items related to Your business or profession;
g. Photographic and sports equipment and accessories and musical instruments;
h. Motor vehicles, boats, bicycles and any equipment or accessories relating thereto;
i. livestock, pets, animals, plants or other living creatures;

j. deeds, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes, cheques, travellers’ cheques, securities for money, documents or tickets of
any kind, cash, bank and currency notes, money orders, postal orders, postage stamps, negotiable instruments of any kind,
bullion, rare or precious coins;
k. Loss or damage insured under any other insurance policy, or reimbursed by any other party;
l. Theft during or after the occurrence of a fire;
m. The burning of property through the order of any public authority;
n. Loss or damage that are due to events other than burglary or fire, including but not limited to smoke, lightning, wind, water, flood,
earthquake, volcanic eruption, tidal wave, landslide, hail, or other acts of god.
4.5. Pet Care
If during the Trip, the Insured Person is prevented from completing the return leg of the Return Trip due to any of the following:-
a. a travel delay which has resulted in a valid claim under Section 3.10, for a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours from the original
scheduled time of arrival at Malaysia; or
b. Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury or Sickness which requires Hospitalization.
We will reimburse the Insured Person for the additional cost incurred in the pet hotel charges for which the Insured Person is liable
under the pet hotel agreement until the Insured Person’s return to Malaysia, up to the Sum Insured stated in the Policy Schedule and
notwithstanding any expiry of this Policy.
Specific Conditions
If You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other source,
or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Section, We will only be liable for the excess of the
amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
4.6. 24 Hours Travel and Medical Assistance
The Insured Person is entitled to obtain assistance from Our Assistance Provider (Hotline: 03-7628 3835) in respect of the following:
a. Round-the-Clock Telephone Access If the Insured Person requires assistance, he/she may contact Our Assistance Provider’s 24-hour dedicated hotline made
available around the clock for immediate assistance and advice.
b. Medical Assistance
(i) Tele-Medical Consultation
Our Assistance Provider will arrange for the provision of medical consultation for Insured Person over the telephone.
(ii) Medical Referral and Arrangement for Medical Appointments
Our Assistance Provider shall exercise its best efforts to provide to the Insured Person, upon request, the name, address,
telephone number and, if available, the business operating hours of local Physician, Hospitals, clinics, dentist and dental
clinics.
Our Assistance Provider shall also when requested, assist to confirm the availability of the applicable medical or dental
professional to arrange the medical or dental appointment on behalf of the Insured Person to enable the Insured Person
to seek treatment.
(iii) Monitoring of Medical Condition
In the event the Insured Person is hospitalised, Our Assistance Provider shall monitor the Insured Person’s medical
condition from time to time until the Insured Person is discharged from the Hospital.
c. Travel Assistance
(i) Inoculation, Passport and Visa Information
Our Assistance Provider will provide information concerning inoculation and visa requirement for foreign countries, as
those requirements are specified from time to time.
(ii) Weather and Foreign Exchange Information
Our Assistance Provider will provide information to the Insured Person regarding the exchange rate of major foreign
currencies and weather forecasts and temperatures of foreign countries.
(iii) Location of Lost Items/ Personal Belongings
Our Assistance Provider will assist the Insured Person who has lost their luggage, documents and personal belongings
while trying by referring the Insured Person to the appropriate authorities involved.
(iv) Consulate / Embassy Referral
Our Assistance Provider will provide the address, telephone number and hours of opening of the nearest appropriate
consulate and embassy worldwide.
(v) Flight Information
Our Assistance Provider will provide flight information on the arrival and departure by destination, time and flight number
upon request. The information will only be available for present day, the day before and the day after the Insured Person’s
enquiry.
(vi) Legal Referral
Our Assistance Provider will provide contact information pertaining to the coordination of bail bond and legal assistance
worldwide upon the Insured Person’s request. The Insured Person shall be responsible for the selection and payment
incurred of the law firm selected.
(vii) Translator/ Interpreter Referral
Our Assistance Provider will provide contact information for translators and interpreters in the area in which the Insured
Person is travelling in the case of communication problems. The Insured Person shall be responsible for the selection
and payment incurred of the interpreter.

The Benefit shall be subject to the following:
(i) Indemnity Clause: Our Assistance Provider undertakes to exercise due care and diligence in the appointment and/or referral of any service
provider to assist the Insured Person. Our Assistance Provider assumes no responsibility for any advice or service
provided by any third-party service provider.
(ii) Third Party Costs: All third-party costs associated with the services provided are the Insured Person’s responsibility.
GENERAL EXCLUSIONS
We shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of Insured Person:-
1. War or Terrorism
a. for any losses occasioned by Civil War or Foreign War.
b. for any losses sustained or suffered whilst or as a result of active participation in any violent labour disturbance, riot or civil
commotion or public disorder.
c. for any losses directly or indirectly arising out of, contributed to or caused by, or resulting from or in connection with act of
Terrorism but only as the sole result of the utilisation of Nuclear, Chemical or Biological weapons of mass destruction howsoever
these may be distributed or combined.
For the purpose of this Clause:
a. Terrorism means an act, or acts, of any person, or group(s) of persons, committed for political, religious, ideological or similar
purposes with the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, or any section of the public, in fear. Terrorism
can include, but not be limited to, the actual use of force or violence and/or the threat of such use. Furthermore the perpetrators
of Terrorism can either be acting alone, or on behalf of, or in connection with any organisation(s) or governments(s).
b. Utilisation of Nuclear weapons of mass destruction means the use of any explosive nuclear weapon or device or the emission,
discharge, dispersal, release or escape of fissile material emitting a level of radioactivity capable of causing incapacitating
disablement or death amongst people or animals.
c. Utilisation of Chemical weapons of mass destruction means the emission, discharge, dispersal, release or escape of any solid,
liquid or gaseous chemical compound which, when suitably distributed, is capable of causing incapacitating disablement or death
amongst people or animals.
d. Utilisation of Biological weapons of mass destruction means the emission, discharge, dispersal, release or escape of any
pathogenic (disease producing) micro-organism(s) and/or biologically produced toxin(s) (including genetically modified organisms
and chemically synthesised toxins) which are capable of causing incapacitating disablement or death amongst people or animals .
2. Suicide or Wilful Act
a. for any losses caused or provoked intentionally by the Insured Person.
b. for any losses due to wilful or deliberate exposure to danger (except in an attempt to save human life), intentional self -inflicted
injury, suicide or attempt thereat, or arising out of non-adherence to medical advice.
3. Alcohol or Drugs
a. for any losses sustained or suffered whilst the Insured Person is or as a result of the Insured Person being under the influence
of alcohol or drugs or narcotics unless professionally administered by a Physician or unless professionally prescribed by and
taken in accordance with the directions of a Physician.
4. Criminal or Fraudulent
a. for any losses sustained whilst or as a result of participating in any criminal act.
b. for any losses which is in any part fraudulent, false, exaggerated or if the Insured Person or anyone acting for Insured Person,
makes a claim in a fraudulent or false way, or where We have been given documents or information that are false or stolen or
incomplete.
5. Pregnancy or Cosmetic
a. for any losses resulting from pregnancy or childbirth.
b. for investigations, operations or treatment of a purely cosmetic nature; or for obesity; or undertaken to facilitate pregnanc y or to
cure impotence or to improve potency.
6. Health Conditions
a. any Pre-existing Conditions or congenital conditions
b. osteoporosis (porosity and brittleness of the bones due to loss of protein from the bones matrix) or pathological fracture (any
fracture in an area when pre-existing disease has caused the weakening of the bone) if osteoporosis or bone disease diagnosed
prior to the Issued Date of Certificate of Insurance.
c. for Bodily Injury or Sickness caused by or arising from the conditions commonly known as Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome
(AIDS) or HIV and/or any related illness or condition including derivatives or variations thereof howsoever acquired or caused.
The onus shall always be upon the Insured Person to show that Bodily Injury or Sickness was not caused by or did not arise
through AIDS or HIV.
d. for Bodily Injury or Sickness caused by or arising from or due to venereal or venereal related disease.
e. for treatments of nervous or mental problems, whatever their classification, psychiatric or psychotic conditions, depression of any
kind, or mental insanity.
f. for cures of any kind and all stays in long term care institutions (retirement homes, convalescence centres, centres of
detoxification etc.).

g. any pathological fracture.
h. epidemic or pandemic as declared by the World Health Organization.
7. Hazardous Sports or Activities
a. for any losses sustained whilst or as a result of participating in any sport including the training as a professional player.
b. for any losses sustained whilst or as a result of participating in any competition involving the utilisation of a motorised land, water
or air vehicle.
c. for any losses sustained whilst or as a result of active participation in any hazardous sport such as but not limited to : -
(i) Parachuting, skydiving, hang gliding, paragliding, parasailing, bungee jumping or any other airborne like activities
(ii) Base Jumping, cliff diving and cliff jumping;
(iii) Off-piste skiing/snowboarding;
(iv) White water rafting Grade 4 or above;
(v) Scuba diving unless the Insured Person is accompanied by a qualified instructor up to a depth of eighteen (18) meters
or the Insured Person holds a PADI certificate (or similar recognized qualification) up to a maximum depth as stated in
his/her PADI certificate (or similar recognized qualification) but no deeper than thirty (30) meters and the Insured Person
must not be diving alone;
(vi) Sailing;
(vii) Martial Arts, boxing , wrestling and other activities with rough physical contacts;
(viii) Performing any sports whilst the Insured Person does not hold a valid qualification. This applies to any sports which
require the Insured Person to hold a valid qualification to perform the sports;
(ix) Any sports competition which means any involvement in training or participating in an organised sport event or contest
of a physically demanding, acrobatic and/or combative nature. These include but are not limited to cycling, triathlons,
biathlons, ultra marathons, equestrian, sailing and other water sports, football, rugby, hockey, gymnastics, pole jumping,
fencing, weight lifting, archery, shooting, martial arts, boxing and all winter sports;
(x) Hiking, trekking or mountaineering above three thousand (3,000) metres from sea level;
(xi) Outdoor rock climbing or abseiling unless it is:-
• Climbing or abseiling an artificial wall and;
• Provided under the guidance and supervision of qualified guides and/or instructors of the tour operator or activity
provider and always subject to the Insured Person following their advice and /or instruction; and
• Height of less than thirty (30) metres.
8. Flying
a. for any losses whilst the Insured Person is travelling by air other than as a fare paying passenger on an aircraft registered to an
airline company for the transport of paying passengers on regular and published scheduled routes.
9. Occupation
a. for any losses sustained whilst on service or on duty with or undergoing training with any military or police force, or militia or
paramilitary organisation, notwithstanding that the Bodily Injury occurred whilst the Insured Person is on leave or not in un iform.
b. for any claim involving Insured Person taking part in any of the following:-
(i) Expeditions
(ii) Missionary or humanitarian travel
c. While the Insured Person is involved in any of the occupations mentioned hereunder:-
(i) While performing work as a manual worker, engaging in physical labour or manual operation, or using hazardous
machineries or power tools.
(ii) Wood working machinists - using wood working machinery driven by mechanical power
(iii) Aircraft testers and aircraft crews (not applicable when the Insured Person is not engaging in any trade or technical
operation in the aircraft)
(iv) Armed forces personnel including police, army/military and law enforcement officers
(v) Commercial divers, dive instructors and divemasters (not applicable when the Insured Person is diving for leisure)
(vi) Racing drivers
(vii) Seamen and Fishermen
(viii) Oil rig workers including Off-shore workers
(ix) Circus Performers
(x) Stuntman
(xi) Entertainer
(xii) Whilst engaged in demolition of buildings
(xiii) Firemen
(xiv) Jockeys
(xv) Whilst engaged in underground mining and tunnelling
(xvi) Explosive handlers
(xvii) Quarrymen
(xviii) Security personnel using firearms
(xix) Stevedores
(xx) Sawyers, logging workers and tree fellers
(xxi) Window cleaners (High rise building exceeding 9m)/ Painters (High rise building exceeding 9m)
(xxii) War correspondents
10. Travelling Against Advice
If the Insured Person is medically unfit for travel, or travelling against a Doctor’s advice, or travelling for the specific purpose of seeking
medical advice, care, or treatment.
11. Awareness of Circumstances
a. For any incident or circumstance of which the Insured Person was aware of or could reasonably be expected to be aware of at
the time the Insured Person purchased this Policy or booked his/her travel (whichever occurs last) and which could reasonably
be expected to lead to the Insured Person making a claim under this Policy.

b. For the Insured Person not taking precaution to avoid a claim after there was a warning in the mass media including from the
government or news channel of a strike, riot, natural disaster or extreme weather conditions or other circumstances.
c. If the Insured Person does not take reasonable efforts to safeguard his/her property or to avoid Injury or minimise any claim under
this Policy.
12. Nuclear
For any losses caused by nuclear weapons material or contributed to by or arising from ionising radiation or contamination by
radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel. Solely for the purpose of this exclusion
combustion shall include any self-sustaining process of nuclear fission.
13. Sanction Countries
Any loss or expenses with respect to a specially designated person, entity, group or company on the Specially Designated Nati onals
List or which if reimbursed or paid by Us would result in Us being in breach of trade or economic sanctions or other such similar laws
or regulations.
14. Consequential Loss
Any consequential loss or damage arising from or in connection with any covered events.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. Limit Per Event
The maximum combined liability of the Company under this Policy in respect of any one Loss Occurrence shall not exceed
RM15,000,000.00. If the aggregate amount of all claims payable from any one Loss Occurrence exceed RM15,000,000.00 then the
amount payable in respect of each Insured Person shall be proportionally reduced.
2. Compliance with Policy Provisions
Failure to comply with any of the provisions contained in this Policy shall invalidate all claims hereunder.
3. Conditions Precedent to Our Liability
Our liability is conditional upon:-
a. the truth of the statements and information as provided to Us.
b. the due observance and fulfilment of the terms and conditions of this Policy insofar as they relate to anything to be done or
complied with by You and the Insured Person.
4. Cancellation by You
We will not allow any refund of premium once the Policy is issued.
5. Persons Eligible for One Way Trip Only
The Insured Person can be insured under One Way Trip only if he/she is:
a. student going to the Destination for education regardless of short period or full period; or
b. emigrating or returning to his/her Home Country or the country where he/she has the Permanent Resident (PR) status; or c. going to the Destination for a permanent employment and/or permanent stay which the duration of stay in this Destination is more
than ninety (90) days.
6. Notice of Claim
Written notice of claim must be given to Us within thirty (30) days from the Date of Loss or as soon thereafter as is reasonably possible.
Notice given by or on behalf of the Insured Person to Us with information sufficient to quantify the Insured Person shall be deemed
notice to Us.
7. Right of Recovery
In the event authorization of payment and/or payment is made by Us or Our Assistance Provider for a medical claim whereby policy
liability is not engaged, We or Our Assistance Provider reserves the right to recover against You and/or the Insured Person for the full
sum which We or Our Assistance Provider is liable to the medical institution which Insured Person was admitted to.
8. Multiple Insurance
We shall not be liable for the same claim under more than one Travel Insurance Policy for the same Insured Person relating to the
same Trip for the same period of cover.
9. Payment of Claim
a. Indemnity for Accidental Death of Insured Person will be paid to the Insured Person’s estate. All other indemnities shall be payable to the Insured Person, with exception of Section 4.6.
b. The entitlement of the benefits shall be based on the Age at the Date of Loss.
10. Contribution
In the event You or the Insured Person becomes entitled to a refund of or reimbursement of all or part of such expenses from any other
source, or if there is in place any other insurance against the events covered under this Policy, We will only be liable for the excess of
the amount recoverable from such other source or insurance.
11. Our Right of Claim Settlement
We shall be allowed to conduct in Your or Insured Person’s name and on behalf of You or Insured Person the defense or settlement of
any legal action and take proceedings at Our own benefit but in Your or Insured Person’s name to recover compensation from any
other source or insurance in respect of anything covered by this Policy.
12. Policy Not Assignable
This Policy is not assignable and We shall not be affected by notice of any trust charge lien assignment or other dealing with this Policy.
Benefits shall only be payable to the Insured Person or his/her legal representatives, whose receipts shall effectually discharge Us.
13. Arbitration
If any difference shall arise as to the amount to be paid under this Policy (liability being otherwise admitted) such difference shall be
referred to an arbitrator to be appointed in accordance with the statutory provisions in that behalf for the time being in force. Where any
difference is by this condition to be referred to arbitration the making of an award shall be a condition precedent to any right of action
against Us. Unless any such action or suit is commenced within six months of the making of an award We shall not be liable to make
any payment in excess of the amount of the award.
14. Governing Law
This Policy is issued under the laws of Malaysia and is subject and governed by the laws prevailing in Malaysia. The indemnity provided
by this Policy shall not apply in respect of judgments which are not in the first instance delivered by or obtained from a Court of

competent jurisdiction within Malaysia, nor to orders obtained in the said Court for the enforcement of judgments made outside
Malaysia, whether by reciprocal agreements or otherwise.
15. Fraud
Any statement made by You and/or the Insured Person which is an intentional misstatement of fact or which constitutes a fraud, shall
result in Our right to terminate this Policy immediately.
16. Legal Action
No legal action may be brought to recover on the Policy under sixty (60) days after We have been given written proof of loss. No such
action may be brought after two (2) years from the Date of Loss.
17. Interest
No amounts payable by Us under this Policy shall carry interest.
18. Currency
Premium and benefits payable under this Policy shall be in Ringgit Malaysia.
19. Subrogation
Any claimant under this Policy shall at the request and at Our expense do and concur in doing and permit to be done all such acts and
things as may be necessary or reasonably required by Us for the purpose of enforcing any rights and remedies or of obtaining relief or
indemnity from other parties to which We shall or would be entitled to subrogated to upon its paying for or making good any destruction
or damage under the respective section whether such acts and things shall be or become necessary or required before or after his or
her indemnification by Us.
20. Termination by Us
Subject to the provisions of this Policy, We may give notice of termination hereof by registered post to You at Your last known address.
Such termination shall become effective seven (7) days following the date of such notice.
21. Cash Before Cover
It is fundamental and absolute condition of this Policy that the full premium payable is received by Us on or before the effective date of
this Policy or endorsed hereafter. We shall not be liable upon this Policy unless the said premium is paid to Us before commencement
of cover.
22. Duty of Disclosure
Consumer Insurance Contracts
Where You have applied for this Insurance wholly for Yourself/family/dependants, You have a duty to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation in answering the questions in the Proposal Form (or when You applied for this insurance) i.e. You should have answered the questions fully and accurately. Failure to have taken reasonable care in answering the questions may result in avoidance
of Your contract of insurance, refusal or reduction of Your claim(s), change of terms or termination of Your contract of insurance in accordance with the remedies in Schedule 9 of the Financial Services Act 2013. You are also required to disclose any other matter that You know to be relevant to Our decision in accepting the risks and determining the rates and terms to be applied.
You also have a duty to tell Us immediately if at any time after Your contract of insurance has been entered into, varied or renewed with Us any of the information given in the Proposal Form (or when You applied for this insurance) is inaccurate or has changed.
Non-Consumer Insurance Contracts Where You have applied for this Insurance for the purpose of providing insurance benefits to Your employees and their
family/dependants. You have a duty to disclose any matter that You know to be relevant to Our decision in accepting the risks and
determining the rates and terms to be applied and any matter a reasonable person in the circumstances could be expected to know to
be relevant otherwise it may result in avoidance of Your contract of insurance, refusal or reduction of Your claim(s), change of terms or
termination of Your contract of insurance.
You also have a duty to tell Us immediately if at any time after Your contract of insurance has been entered into, varied or renewed
with Us any of the information given in the Proposal Form (or when You applied for this insurance) is inaccurate or has changed.
