We invite you to travel to the land of Egypt to experience this ancient and
modern country for yourself. Explore Egypt on an exciting and unique
itinerary including a cruise on the Nile River. Your journey begins in
Aswan with its renowned ancient sites: Philae Temple, The High Dam
and Abu Simbel Temple dating to the 13th century B.C. Enjoy and relax
in Aswan where the country's fascinating Nubian History unfolds.
A classic Nile voyage takes you from Aswan to Luxor, with its acclaimed
temples and tombs representing the pinnacle of Egyptian architecture.
Egyptian civilization's intriguing cosmology is revealed as you visit the
Valley of the Kings, Habu Temple and Hatshepsut Temple on the Nile's
West bank. On the East bank visit Karnak, arguably the greatest temple
complex of them all. Then visit Luxor temple lit up at night. Next an
overnight visit to Dendara and Abydos temples home to the Mystery
Schools. Then depart for Cairo to visit the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx,
Memphis, Sakkara, Hawarra and Meidum pyramids, Old Cairo and the
New Egyptian Museum (opening in October 2020) located on the Giza
Plateau. This trip will include 3 special tours as well: a 2 hour private
time in the King’s and Queen’s Chambers of the Great Pyramid; private 2
hour time at the Sphinx, and 2 hour private time at the Osireion at
Abydos.

Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Saturday, October 10th, 2020
Arrival Cairo - Welcome to Egypt
Welcome to Egypt! You’ll be met and
assisted by a Tour representative at the Cairo
airport and then escorted to your connecting
flight to Aswan at 22:15. Upon arrival to
Aswan, you will be escorted by Tour staff to
the Movenpick Hotel on Elephantine Island. Overnight Aswan: Movenpick Resort & SPA
Day 2: Sunday, October 11th, 2020
Aswan Dam and Isis Temple
After breakfast we visit Philae Temple,
dedicated to the goddess Isis, the wife of
Osiris, and mother of Horus. These three
characters are very important in ancient
Egyptian life, culture and art. From there, we
visit The Aswan High Dam. In the afternoon
we take a ride aboard a felucca, sailing
around Kitchener's Island while enjoying an
onboard Egyptian meal. After lunch we
depart by motorboat to The Nubian Village
located on the West Bank of the River Nile in
Aswan just opposite to Soheil Island near the
Aswan Dam. This fantastic tour to the Nubian
Village includes a desert camel ride right
into the heart of the village to meet and visit
with a Nubian family to learn about their
simple life style, culture and traditions. Overnight: Movenpick Resort & SPA

Day 3: Monday, October 12th, 2020
Abu Simbel Temple and Nubian Museum
After breakfast we will depart by bus for
Abu Simbel. The two temples in the Abu
Simbel complex were carved out of the
mountain-side during the reign of Pharaoh
Ramesses II, in the 13th century BCE, as a
lasting monument to himself and his queen,
Nefertari. We then head back to Aswan,
where Tour staff will transfer you from the
Aswan Movenpick Hotel to the 5 Star
Luxury Nile cruise ship. Lunch onboard
ship. In the afternoon we visit the Nubian
Museum, dedicated to Nubian history,
culture and art. After the museum we will
have the opportunity to enjoy high tea at a
Nubian café and visit the healing Oil Shop
in Aswan. Then back to the Cruise.

Day 4: Tuesday, October 13th, 2020
Kom-Ombo and Horus Temples
The ship sets sail on the Nile. After
breakfast we will journey first to
KomOmbo Temple. The northern half was
dedicated to the god Horus, and the
Southern half to the crocodile god, Sobek.
After the tour, we will return to the cruise
ship and continue sailing to Edfu. After
Lunch on the ship, we visit the Temple of
Horus in Edfu. This temple is one of the
best preserved temples in Egypt and was
dedicated the Falcon-headed god, Horus.
After the tour, we return to the ship and
continue on to Luxor, passing through the Esna Locks. Overnight: Nile Cruise / Luxor

Day 5: Wednesday, October 14th, 2020
Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Temple
After breakfast (by 7:30 AM) we will
transfer off the Cruise Ship and journey to
the Valley of the Kings, also called the
Valley of the Gates of the Kings. For a
period of nearly 500 years, from the 16th
to 11th century BC, tombs were
constructed there for the Pharaohs and
powerful nobles of the New Kingdom.
The valley stands on the West Bank of the
Nile, opposite Thebes (modern Luxor),
within the heart of the Theban Necropolis.
After that we will go to the Ibis Alabaster
shop for an opportunity to shop for
souvenirs and gifts. Afterwards we will
visit the nearby Temple of Queen-
Hatshepsut. This mortuary temple is
dedicated to the sun god Amon-Ra and is
located next to the mortuary temple of
Mentuhotep II. Afterwards we will visit
Habu Temple. Then back to the Cruise.

Day 6: Thursday, October 15th, 2020
Karnak and Luxor Temples
After breakfast we will visit Karnak
Temple. The temple complex has four
parts. The most commonly visited one is the
Precinct of Amun-Ra. In addition to this
precinct we will visit the three other parts:
the Precinct of Mut, the Precinct of Montu,
and the ruins of the Temple of
Amenhotep IV (more commonly known as
Ankhenaten). Afterwards, check in Jolie
Ville resort enjoy free time at the resort. In
the evening (around 6:00 PM) we visit
Luxor Temple, an extraordinary site lit up at
night. This is a large ancient temple
complex, located on the east bank of the
Nile River, and was founded in 1400 BCE.
After touring the temple we will return to
the hotel.

Day 7: Friday, October 16th, 2020
Dendara and Abydos Temples
After breakfast we travel by bus to Dendara
Temple. It is one of the best-preserved
temple complexes in Egypt and contains
the Temple of Hathor. We’ll take a short
lunch break then visit the temple at Abydos,
dedicated to Pharaoh Seti I. Abydos is one
of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt, dating
to pre-dynastic times and was the site of
many ancient temples. It is home to the
Mystery Schools and the cosmic
priesthood. We will have two hours private
time in the Osireion at Abydos (a rare
treat), then enjoy dinner at the House of
Life Hotel where we stay overnight. This
small but special hotel was started to carry
on the ancient healing practices of Om Seti. Overnight: House of Life / Abydos

Day 8: Saturday, October 17th, 2020
Abydos and Tel Armana
After breakfast, enjoy a walk around
Abydos then travel by bus to Tel Armana,
the place of Akhenaten. Amarna is an
extensive Egyptian archeological site that
represents the remains of the capital city
newly established (1346BC) and built by
the Pharoah Akhenaten of the late 18th
Dynasty. Visit his beautiful tomb. Then
overnight at Minya.

Day 9: Sunday, October 18th, 2020
Beni Hassan Tombs / Drive to Cairo
After breakfast, drive to visit Beni Hassan,
an ancient Egyptian cemetery site. It is
located approximately 20 kilometers to the
south of modern-day Minya in the region
known as Middle Egypt (the area between
Asyut and Memphis). Then drive to Cairo,
have lunch, and transfer to the Mena House
Hotel and overnight.

Day10: Monday, October 19th, 2020
Egyptian Museum and Alabaster Mosque
After breakfast, visit the New Cairo
Egyptian Museum. This museum contains
many important pieces of ancient Egyptian
history and houses the world’s largest
collection of Pharaonic antiquities. This
includes many treasures from the tomb of
King Tutankhamen. Then we visit the
great Alabaster Mosque. Situated on the
summit of a centuries-old citadel, this is a
fine example of an Ottoman-era mosque.
Then transfer to the Mena House hotel.

Day 11: Tuesday, October 20th, 2020
Memphis / Step Pyramid at Saqqara / Serapeum
After breakfast we visit Memphis and
Saqqara, the Pyramid of Djoser, or step
pyramid, which is an archeological remain
in the Saqqara necropolis, northwest of the
city of Memphis. It was built 27th century
BC during the Third dynasty for the burial
of Pharaoh Djoser by his vizier, Imhotep.
It is home to the Egyptian sound and
healing schools. After lunch, we visit the
Serapeum of Saqqara. While history
believes these large sarcophagi it to be the
burial place of sacred Apis bulls that were
incarnations of the ancient Egyptian deity
Ptah, other theories are emerging.
Afterwards, we return to the hotel.

Day 12: Wednesday, October 21st, 2020
The Pyramids and Sphinx
In the early morning we will have 2-hour
private time inside the Great Pyramid’s
King’s Chamber and Queen’s
Chambers. After breakfast we will visit
the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient
World the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx with a visit around the Giza
Plateau. After Lunch back to the hotel.
There will be tine for afternoon shopping
before we experience our 2-hour private
time inside the ground floor area of the
Great Sphinx during afterhours. (Day
visitors only get to see the Sphinx from
the viewing platform, but our group will
be able to see it up close and personal.

Day 13: Thursday, October 22, 2020
Fayoum Oasis / Hawara and Meidum Pyramids
After breakfast, we drive to the beautiful
Fayoum Oasis area to explore the Hawara
and Meidum Pyramids, The Pyramid of
Hawara was built out of brick stones and
then coated by limestone. It is sometimes
called the Black Pyramid. When it was still
standing, the Pyramid of Hawara was a
large structure that was 58 meters high and
each side of the base of the pyramid was
around 100 meters long. The Pyramids of
Meidum was built by the last King of the
3rd Dynasty, King Huni, he built the
Pyramid of Meidum in the style of a step
pyramid. When it was newly constructed, it
featured 8 steps, one built right on top of
the other! For a long time, Egyptologists
thought that the pyramid was built by King
Snefru, the builder of the two pyramids in
Dashur. Then Lunch at local restaurant.

Day 14: Friday, October 23, 2020
