PROMOTION MOVIE, Training windtechnician in Husum (Germany)

State of affairs• Noorderpoort is establishing an Energy Academy in co-

operation with Higher Education and employers;

• There is an increasing demand from industry on windtechnicians

• We know what kind of skills and competences are required;

• Together with BZEE in Germany we are working on a common qualification;

• With BZEE licence and in cooperation with Emden (Germany) set up training windtechnicians;

• First group (12 students, 1 teacher) training windtechnicianin Husum (Germany)

Challenges for Noorderpoort:

• Development of international qualifications for Wind Technicians:

• That meet the demands of industry,• Lead to formal diplomas (and therefore fit in national standards),• Have an international orientation• And are international recognised.

Challenges for Noorderpoort (2):

• An international component means:

• Exchange of students and teachers• Working together (in development and in the execution) with partners who

are experts in specific areas

• Meet the demands of industry means:

• Strong influence of the industry on the curriculum• The industry is really involved in the project

Challenges for Noorderpoort (3):

• Building a sustainable European network of specialists in Wind Technicians (consisting of education and employers) for development and transfer of knowledge.

• Recruiting enough students to get the job done!
