YA! – Vision & MissionYA! contributes to competitiveness and prosperity with a vocational education that is related to the working- and the business life, as well as a flexible development of competences.
YA! Vocational Education and Training started 1.1.2009 when merging two schools on the vocational level and one adult education centre, making the new institute the biggest in the Swedish speaking part of Finland.

Initial vocational education

Vocational training in Finland
Studies offered at YA!We offers vocational training for young people and adults in the following fields:• Technology and Communication• Natural Resources and the Environment• Tourism, Catering and Home Economics• Social Services, Health and Sports• Culture• Social sciences, business and administration• Humanities and education• Natural sciences
All basic studies consist of three-year degree programs and comprise 120 credits. The education consists of both theory and practice.
The school will also offer the possibility for students to simultaneously complete their matriculation examination together with a vocational degree by combining upper secondary school studies and vocational studies.
Within our Further Education and Development Services unit we are offering many alternatives in further vocational training.
In addition to basic degrees, the new school offers a wide range of vocational degrees, specialized vocational degrees as well as customized continuous education.
The school will also offer the possibility for students to simultaneously complete their matriculation examination together with a vocational degree by combining upper secondary school studies and vocational studies.
