Who we are

Independent statutory body, set up by government

Funded by FSA levy

We have a statutory role (as given to us by the Financial Services Act 2010) to enhance:

The understanding and knowledge of members of the public in financial matters,

and

The ability of members of the public to manage their own financial affairs

Three aspects to our Service:

- Universal, multi-channel delivery of Money Advice

- Funding and co-ordination of Debt Advice

- Leading the UK strategy for Financial Education

We’ve been working in partnership with DWP since January 2012

Agreement that Money Advice Service has a significant role to play in delivering information, advice and guidance alongside DWP to support recipients of Universal Credit in budgeting and managing money.

What are Money Advice Service doing?

We aim to create an ‘open door’ policy enabling our resources to be shared across a network of partners.

We have built a syndication platform that will easily facilitate the publication of Money Advice Service content on the partner website.

We are doing this to ensure that we;

Network and share knowledge and expertise

Avoid duplication of efforts and save costs

Ensure we deliver our advice service to as many customers as possible at the point of need

Aid the customer journey
