mirrors of the heart”Daniel Caballero

(Nov 2013)

What is an emotion(feeling)?

A temporary internal feeling state which is an instinctive, biological reaction to events. It creates physical sensations, habits and

behaviours in us.

What is a mood?

It is the outward behavioural response generated by the underlying emotion. It helps guide us in what is happening in our lives and

assess our future actions.

Session 3

His beauty through our brokenness

‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart  and lean not on your own

understanding; in all your ways submit to him,

and he will make your paths straight’. Proverbs 3:5-6

We are in a spiritual battle  Do we have wants or needs?   What can we do to help ourselves?

The means of grace(Galatians 5:16-18)   What can we do to help others?

Speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) Point them to God’s word (Isaiah 55:11) Our love and compassion should be

practical (James 2:17)

you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people’
